NGRI is really a promising institute for students of doctorate . All supportive professors and all facilities for research makes it more efficient. Library is plus point of institute which is big. All subject related books are available in library. I highly recommend geochemistry / geological interested students to join NGRI.

As this is Doctorate program there is no course as regular . Student have to select their subject as per interest . As per subject they have eligibility year limit for completion their thesis. Institute recommend books and alumni or professor for helping their research. They can clear any type of queries with help of alumni or professor.

The program has been directly supported by the government of India. The student who can prove themselves and create new stuff are always supported by the institute. The student get direct placement in the different research institute of India.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees are very reasonable . 12400/- for year. Have to deposit full amount . You can process draft or cash . Every student in various departments find it very affordable to pay the fees. It is to be paid at the start of every year.

NGRI arranges various programs for years for students. Environment day, National Science day, international women day, training for geochemistry, social awareness programs, seminars, etc. are many events celebrated in the college.

For the admission in PHD course the candidates can directly visit the official website for the application form. For selection , the candidates have to appear for the interview round . After the selection at the interview round , I had got a call back from center and after the payment of fees .

Admission:

Anyone having an M.sc degree can seek admission in the college. A student who has qualified the exam of CSIRUGC (NET) is eligible for the admission in the course. Later for the selection process there is a personal interview session conducted by AcSIR (CSIR-NGRI). The application process is online.

One of the main benefits of taking admission in this institution is the very good academic structure that has been designed to give very researched knowledge on microbiology and modern biology. The labs are also well equipped with modern equipments.
