Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is quite interesting and has a great selection of topics to study over the three years. The course fosters creativity, and is as informative as it is engaging.Examinations are held regularly, every semester.

Placement Experience

3.5

There are not many job opportunities for a B.A. graduate. Most students went for higher studies as I did, or tried for government jobs. Companies come to the college for placement, but not much for B.A. graduates. Some comapnies do occassionally look for B.A. graduates.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The three year B.A. degree, with lab, costs about 23,000 rupees in total for a general category student. It's not very high, and is quite affordable. Compared to most colleges, this is a very feasible fee.

Campus Life

4

There are NSS and NCC chapters where a number of participate. The departments have their own clubs that held events from time to time. There was Psychology Association, Journalism Club and English Association, among others in my department. Workshops and personal development seminars were often held in the campus. There's also a college magazine called AnanthaYathri that is published every year.

Hostel Facilities

4

There are 3 hostels on the campus, 2 for boys and one for girls. The hostel facilities are good and living conditions are good. There are a good number of rooms, and there are sufficient washrooms for the number if students in the hostel. There's good security, and amenities available round the clock.

Admission

Application to this college is based on marks obtained in 10+2 examinations. The application was filled up at the college office, with copies of all relevant documents like marksheets, caste or income certificates included, and the application was to be filled up.

Faculty

4

The faculty members were quite engaging. The classes were always very interesting, with the way they would teach helping us understand the topics and do well in the examinations. They helped guide us not just for the degree and exams, but also in knowing what our strong skills were and chose a path for after the course.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is fairly comprehensive and covers core subject well, helping build a strong foundation. It provides basic industry knowledge, but some topics feel outdated and need more practical and current tech exposure.

Placement Experience:

Since I am currently in my first year (2nd semester), I have not directly participated in the campus placement drives yet. However, based on interactions with our seniors and the faculty, students typically become eligible for campus placements starting from the 7th semester (final year). The college has a highly active and dedicated placement cell that works hard to bring in reputed pharmaceutical and healthcare companies. Organizations like Apollo Pharmacy, Cipla, and Sun Pharma are known to recruit from our campus. The profiles offered to B.Pharma graduates generally include roles in Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), Pharmacovigilance, and Clinical Data Management. From what we have been informed, the average package offered to freshers is around ₹3,00,000 per annum, with the highest packages going up to ₹4,50,000 to ₹5,000,000 per annum, depending on the recruiting company and the student's academic performance. A strong majority, roughly 70% to 80% of the students who actively participate in the placement process, successfully secure job offers. As for my personal plans after completing this degree, I aim to join the pharmaceutical industry to gain practical experience, ideally in clinical research or pharmacovigilance. Eventually, I plan to pursue a Master's degree (M.Pharm) to further specialize and advance my career in the healthcare sector.

Our university has a training and placement office for the fourth and fifth year students. Before that you need to find internship opportunities yourself. The significant companies include EY, MoSpi, RBI, NSE etc. The is around 50% placements. The highest package was around 40 lakhs and the lowest 5 lakhs. I plan on working in the RBI after my degree.
