Remarks

My 4.5 years in college were quite pleasurable and I was rally nostalgic on my last day! After all, Sharda is the first place that taught me the virtues required in this daunting profession. My college has played a big part in realising my dreams of being a doctor.

Course Curriculum Overview

The fact that the MBBS course is tough, lengthy and challenging is well-known. Apart from that, the exam structure is tedious as well. Throughout the 4.5 years of the course, 4 professional exams take place and 9 semester exams.

Placement Experience

Job opportunities after the MBBS degree are quite high. The college itself has a one-year mandatory internship, following which we become certified doctors. Then you may opt for a PG degree or work in hospitals as a resident for a while.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Private medical colleges in India cost a bomb, with most ranging from Rs 80 lakhs to Rs 1 crore. If you take that into account , the Rs 60 lakhs course fee of SMRS does not seem that much. You must pay Rs 14.5 lakhs at the commencement of each year.

Campus Life

The labs are plush and their is enough equipment for all students to use. We also get a good amount of practice when we visit the Sharda Hospital. Overall the facilities are quite good. A good mix of people from all around the country study here harmoniusly.

Admission

There are two main criteria for being able to secure admission in this college- 50% in PCB in 10+2 and a decent rank in NEET. The counselling takes place offline and the rest of the process- uploading marksheet, filling admission for, sending passport photo and signature, all happen offline.

Faculty

We have been endowed with illustrious faculty in our college. They use all kinds of resources online and offline to make this heavy course seem at least a little lighter. This makes some of the more detailed lectures more interesting.

A decent college to begin your career

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is more inclined towards a theoretical side and lacks practical exposure. In the present scenario, having practical knowledge is a must if you want to survive in the industry, which my college didn't prepare me for. However, there are various opportunities across the campus. We have AIC inside the campus, which may offer an internship to the students if they reach out to them.

Practical project , Good faculty but mixed crowd.

Placement Experience:

From 3rd year you are eligible for placement sheat in college. The highest package was 1.5 cr approx and average 7-8 lakh. Percentage of students to get placement should be around 1/4 of overall students means . I will apply for both on campus and off campus placement.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from the 3rd year. The placement of the college is decent. The average package for tech branches stands at 4-5 LPA. Most of the offers are made from mass recruiters like TCS, cognizant, etc. However, product-based companies also visit the campus but very few students get short-listed for them. The highest package for the 2025 batch was around 22 lakhs from JP morgan in which 2 students got placed. Microsoft also offered a package of 18 LPA. The placement percentage is around 50-60%. If you maintain 8+ CGPA and have the fundamentals clear then you can definitely secure a decent package from this college. The placement department of the college is supportive.

Placement Experience:

Actually we do internship in apex hospital and we have 100% placement. We have 100% placement here every year students get job in apex hospital and also in other places. But so such companies or anything come for placement. Average package is 5 lakhs per annum. After getting degree I will prepare for Norcet exam .

My rank wasn't sufficient to get a government medical College. Being a native of North India I considered this college because it is one of the best in North region with great infrastructure and quality education . Also one main factor that one should consider is overall budget of college . The fees of this college is definitely way too higher than government medical colleges but quite comparable and on the lower side when compared to private medical colleges .
