Remarks

College management was very well structured and well organised.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum was nice, having 3-4 subjects in every semester related to business laws, economy, taxes, and all. And the exam structure was well prepared. 20 marks were internally conducted by the college and the rest 80 marks were conducted by the university. So it's a well-structured system.

Placement Experience

3.5

College provides placement in Godrej and Vivo, and some other companies too. And college provides information to do internships at very well-managed organizations. Last year I got the chance to do an internship at Nalco in HR department.

College Events

4.5

Bhavyata, is our colleges annual function conducted every year. It's a huge management festival and a lot of students of our college participate in it and showcase some of the best dancing and singing, a lot of acts during the program. It's really a grand program of our college. And besides this, there are also many technical and cultural programs attended between the years.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is also well organized. The total amount for the whole course is 1lakh 95000 rupees. They have divided it into annually for 65 thousand. During a year we have to submit 65 thousand rupees in 3 installments. So according to me, it's a well-structured system.

Fees and Financial Aid

Not opted for any scholarship or education loan. Our college many times provides scholarship opportunities to every student of our college. They took the test and on basis of marks scholarships provided to students.

Campus Life

Campus life is amazing, our college has a good environment for study, well-maintained classrooms, garden, cafe and all. College extracurricular activities are also nice and happening. We got a chance to showcase management skills, debate, question-answer sessions. They are very good and I learned a lot from them.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel rooms are good, a total of 3 students live in that particular rooms. The hostel fees is not that high, a hostel also provides all the available good facilities to every student who is living in the hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

College seniors are very supportive and helpful. They give us notes and books. During the extracurricular activities, they provide all possible help to us.

Admission

I choose commerce dept. as I wanted to go in commercial sector. My college has best faculties and a good environment for study that's why I choose this college for my graduation. Admission process was based on the merit list and percentage of students.

Faculty

4

There were 8-9 teachers for each subject during every semester. They all try to provide a good idea of the subject during the particular semester. They try to give proper and relevant information about the particular topics and information related to our subject. They were very Experienced and masters in their subjects.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum of B.Com under Sambalpur University covers important subjects like Accounting, Business Law, Economics, Management and Taxation which are essential for future studies and careers in finance or commerce. The structure is simple to follow and helps students build a good base in theory. Semester exams are conducted on time and the difficulty level is moderate. A student who consistently studies can score well without extreme pressure. However, there is a lack of practical exposure such as industry visits, internships or real-world business case studies. Also, subjects related to modern digital business trends like data analytics, advanced Excel, and GST practicals should be included to make students more job-ready. Overall, the curriculum is relevant but needs more updates to match the current professional requirements

Placement Experience:

In our college, final-year students are eligile for campus placements. While i don't recall the specific companies that visited, one of my friends interviewed with Axis Bank and got selected with a package of around 2.4 lakh. The exact percentage of students are placed and details of average or highest packages are unclear to me, but the placements process provides opportunities of those actively seeking jobs. After completing my degree, I plan to pursue an independent career rather that seeking a traditioinal job placement.
