College review Truba College Bhopal

Bhopal, Truba is counted in one of those colleges which are known for their academics as well as their placements.

The course curriculum is good but it is not as good as it should be. We have to check three or four books of different others to match the syllabus provided by the university. And still, we don't get sufficient materials for the study. It is making me a good person because it is enhancing my skills and I am gaining knowledge from it.

The placement of this college is quite good in the computer science stream. But in other streams, it is not very good. Only a few numbers of companies reach our college for the placements. The main companies which come for the placement in the computer science stream are TCS, Infosys, ByJus, Opentext.

The college celebrates many festivals but the main festival which is celebrated by this college is the Youthfest which is celebrated in the month of November, December. It takes 5 to 7 days to be completed. At this festival, the first three days are the sports activities and the rest of the days are the cultural activities.

I have opted for B Tech in CSE and my course fee is 75000. It is quite good and based on the academics and the placements this amount is not very high. It is good and you can expect a full fee refund when you take admission on a scholarship basis. The college does not show transparency in fee breakdown.

There is a central government scholarship program and students from the OBC category can take benefit from it. The eligibilty criteria for the scholarship is that you should be an OBC student and your family's annual income must be less than 75000 annually. The scholarship amount is 30, 000.

On the campus of Truba talking about my branch. I am in CSE so we were like 20 girls and 50 boys and in the rest branches, there are very little number of girls. So if talking about gender ratio then the number of girls is less than half of the boys. The campus life is quite good just like other engineering colleges and it is an anti-ragging campus so we don't have to think about the seniors. And there is nothing like religion, caste, gender, politics, economic status in this college. We all are like friends.

I have not opted for a hostel but in this college hostel facility is available and the rooms are in sharing of three students per room. The food is offered in the mess. You can expect an average of 7000 per month hostel fees.

Our seniors were very well and very supportive of us. We had never seen them show their seniority in the college and they were just like our classmates.

I basically got admission through a test which is conducted by the college. And my maternal uncle was also part of the college. He was studying in M Tech from the same college and firstly I got the college recommendation by him for this college.

In my course, there are eight lectures on a daily basis in which four lectures are for the theory class and the rest four lectures are the practical classes in which we study computer languages. The average age of the faculties is between 25-30 and most of them are Ph.D. holders and some of them are postgraduates.
