Remarks

There are loopholes in every institution. My biggest concern with my college is its placement department which is still unable to attract reputed companies to the campus however, they are improving with time.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Engineering courses need to be driven by research and RIMT university encourages the students to actively take part in activities like workshops that are about patients and research. I had not learned how to write a research paper during my bachelor's degree but now I have learned a lot more things.

Placement Experience

2

This is the weakest part of my college. YOU Can not expect them to get you placed in a company like IBM, Google, Microsoft e. t. c. There are some companies that visit the campus but the average annual package they offer varies between 2-3. 5 lacs.

College Events

5

Since the courses offered in this university are vast there are many events that take place throughout the year and Punjab being a culturally rich state you can see its influence on the festivals like annual fest, cultural day e. t. c. Top-notch Punjabi singers are part of almost every gathering.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is really low if we compare it with the national average. I am enrolled in the Master's program and my annual fee is Rs 60400/- and if you are a hostler you have to pay 6000 per month for a room that is shared by 3 tenants and you get good quality meals.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many scholarships that you can avail of for the technical courses. I applied for a merit cum means scholarship which is provided by MHRD. I received Rs 30000 scholarship for the first year. You can apply for scholarships from the Ministry of Minority Affairs (MoMA) as well.

Campus Life

3.5

The gender ratio is 7:3 in favor of male students as there is still a small portion of girls that opt for technical courses however this is changing now as more and more female students are exploring this field now. There are workshops almost every day some of which can be attended without paying any fee and others charge students a minimal amount. The university also enrolls international students mostly from Africa. Since the university is located in Punjab most of the students are Sikhs however there is no religion-based or race-based discrimination.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Since the college is situated in a rural area, The nearest PGs are at least 7 KMs away So opting for a hostel is a better option since you are able to save a lot of time that would otherwise get wasted in travel and you get access to hostel gym and other sports facilities that do not charge any fee for hostlers. The hostel room is generally shared by 3 students and the washrooms are common for each floor.

Alumni/Alumna

If you are a student you can get connect with alumni from your profile on the official website and almost all of the enrolled alumni answer your queries. Apart from that, there is an annual alumni meet where students get to meet alumni in person. There are sessions conducted by different departments where alumni guide the current student and teach them how to excel in their field.

Admission

There are no criteria for admission, If you are a graduate you can apply for a master's course and you get selected. The same is the case with a bachelor's degree. If you want to enroll for a bachelor's degree the only criteria are you must have scored above 60 percent in 12th standard in physics, chemistry, and Mathematics.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of the department that I am enrolled in is highly qualified and skilled. There is an HoD in every department who has a doctorate degree in the concerned field. The teaching faculty consists of IIT and NIT graduates who have previously worked in the industry and are highly skillful when it comes to mentorship.

Course Curriculum Overview:

You will get many opportunities to furnish yourself as the faculty members are too supportive. You will get to know many conference on daily basis that can upheld your boost and make you morally supportive. Doing masters there would lack of strictness as they thought your are grown up, they considered you only for exams and other circulum activities. University should seriously take in action the role their teachers are playing as they sometimes bunk many classes. Exams are not that tough as you would require basic knowledge of your subject.

Some colleges or universities require prospective students to complete interviews.
