Remarks

College administration and management is very professional.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Yes. It is relevant and curriculum covered the entire aspects of the course. Right from basics of engineering in 1st year till a complete indepth knowledge in mining, the courses made me a complete mining professional. The exams were aptly designed for bettement of students.

Placement Experience

5

There is a seperate placement cell in the college which was proactive in coordinating with the related companies and organizing assessments and interviews. I was the placement representative of my batch and was very active in discussing with the placement cell head in sharing the information of the mining companies and had successfully organized several interviews. All the 24 students in my batch were successfully placed (some even had dual jobs at the end of the graduation year).

College Events

4

College of engineering hosts techofes, an very popular student techno feat every year in the month of feb. This pulls a large amount of crowd across the nation and has many technology related contests, fun events and celebrity appearances and performances. Apart from this, mining engineering department also organises an yearly technical symposium named Surang. It would be a fully technical seminar including mining engineering students across nation.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees was very feasible as it was government undertaken college. I could remember it was approx 7000 per semester and we had to pay the fees through DD in the state bank located inside the campus itself. Fee was very transparent and proper receipts were provided for each fee payment. There were no additional fees/charges other than the published fees.

Campus Life

5

Campus was very huge and boosted greenary. It was serene and peaceful for students to study anywhere inside the campus not only in library. There were lot of extra curricular activites like nss, ncc, swimming, etc. The mining engineering department also organized field trips and mine site visits every year as a part of curriculum.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni were very helpful and mining department also organized guest lectures from various experienced alumni.

Admission

I was called for engineering counselling based on 12th marks. I wanted to study in anna university and for the marks I obtained, I got mining engineering course. So I chose it and got the provisional admission letter. Post that I got the admission letter and joined the college.

Faculty

5

Faculty of mining engineering course were very professional and dedicated. They were friendly to students in clearing the doubts and opted practical teaching methods for better understanding of the courses. Their vast industry experience helped me to get in-depth knowledge on the mining industry and terminologies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well designed and covered both fundamental and advanced concepts. We choose elective papers each sem one paper from third sem. That selection of elective papers made us to do case study of real world exposure and competency. The curriculum prepared us for the reasonable real world applications. Also workshops and internships bridged the gap between industry expectations and academics. The teaching methods are really supportive and knowledgeable. On the whole the curriculum was strong and but needs to be imapctful.
