Remarks
Admission was basically on the entrance exam which is conducted. The ranks are released after the exam. Based on this students are called for counseling where based on the current seats available students are allotted. The campus facilities are good. The funding for research is good. Most departments have good computers and labs. Free campus facilities like shuttle buses and a library are good. A lot of companies come for placement but nowadays it's reduced. The major problem is class and department size. So the overall quality of faculty is also low because of such a big department. Most new facilities are from IIT or NIT to add more research to the college. Placements for the core are okay-ish but for IT and CS good scope.
Course Curriculum Overview
Mechanical Engineering here is good because lots of core companies nearby that general do come for placements. The ratio was 1 is 60. Too many students for one class. Old facilities had only an MTech degree. Now Ph.D. is compulsory. New facilities are from IIT and NIT. The exam was moderate and easy to pass.
Placement Experience
After the 7th sem or final year. About 200 companies for mechanical. The highest package was 8 lakhs for mechanical. About 40 percent of people get placed. My plans were to do a master's program. The average package is 3 lakhs per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
Same fees throughout the degree. It's 2 lakhs per year, 3 lakhs, 5 lakhs, etc. Depending on seat availability in counseling. Depends on the entrance exam rank. No stipend or scholarship. There is hardly anything for Bachelor's degrees.
Campus Life
Very very good. Big cultural program. Big technical fests. Milan in March. Aarush in September. Very big library. All technical books are there. Classrooms have a projector and sometimes a mic and speaker. Most classrooms have AC also. There are many groups, teams, and clubs. Everything in extracurricular is there.
