Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is in par with foreign curriculum and provides industry specific knowledge in securing on campus placements. Moat of the work is research based and practicals driven. Industrial visits were arranged during 3rd and 4th years for greater exposure of the industry.

Placement Experience

List of companies - TCS, CTS, Wipro, Tesco, Maverick, TNQ, Photon, Genpact. Special classes were arranged to prepare students for the aptitude tests and interviews.

College Events

Department specific Symposiums, events were organised. Cultural fests were organised every year where students from a over the country participated. Students also are encouraged to participate in various other college festivals and symposiums. Students were encouraged to present papers in various colleges.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My program fee was 50000 per annum and we were asked to pay half yearly. Mode of payment was to take a deman draft on the college name and submit to the registrar. College provides the fee structure during the counselling time. There is no need to pay additional fees to secure admission.

Fees and Financial Aid

I did not opt for any scholarship or education loan.

Campus Life

Gender ratio is good. Campus has separate hostels for boys and girls. Campus is very beautiful and green. Campus has cricket, football grounds. Have indoor sports facilities. Students from across the country from different ethnicity, race and religion are present.

Alumni/Alumna

They are very helpful provided guidance on campus placements and assignments required. Every year alumni meet is organised where all alumni are invited to provide insights.

Admission

First need to give an entrance exam and once you are selected you will be called for counselling to select the course based on the marks obtained from the entrance exam. During counselling student can select a course and pay some token fee for the seat confirmation.

Faculty

Lecturers number per semester - 7 to 10. Average age - 35 years. Qualification - post graduate and PhD holders.

Is VIT worth it

Placement Experience:

Placements in VIT UNIVERSITY is very good the average package is 8 lakhs and the Highest may go upto 1 crore every year.There is a separate placement cell in VIT chennai and they give you placement training from start of the third year. Many multinational companies like google, microsoft etc comes to VIT to pick students for their company. Almost 98 percent of the students gets places in VIT. After my degree I choose to sit for placements.

SRMIST is superb in all sense!!

I applied at PDEU, Gandhinagar and SRMIST and both colleges admissions were almost done but since my family is from Chennai, we al decided to stay close to home atleast for UG. Entrance is their for SRM University and one has to clear that to get admission here.
