Remarks
The only problem is that is on the outskirts of the city. You will have to travel a bit for going out with your friends, the roads leading to the college might not be as per expectations.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is a standard curriculum as per the university. Exams are held in months of May and December as per the semester. The curriculum is pretty relavant to today's working atmosphere and needs. When we learnt about the subjects it was easy for us to replicate theoretical knowledge to practical use.
Placement Experience
Placements are very good. The institute falls under the Sinhagad trust. So all the colleges are invited for the annual placement cell. Apart from this the college also brings in some companies specially for its own students and helps get more placements for students. For internships companies come after the first year and hire students. I took a internship from external sources but many of my friends did get internships from the college itself.
College Events
Our college organises the annual brilliant brigade contest which involves a complete management game. Right from planning, execution and financial planning of the project. Cultural: Yearly there is a freshers party thrown to all new joinees.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible. Student loans and others facilities are also available. Apart from that If you belong to the reseved caste you also get a depreciation in the fees to be paid. So if you belong to the scheduled caste your fee goes to half. For the NT people the fees is incredibly low.
Fees and Financial Aid
I did not apply for any scholarships. I qualified through the entrance exams and also got a quick admission.
Campus Life
We have a yearly competition called the Sinhagad karandak. It has everything from quizzes, fashion shows sports and all other events including robotics. Management games like the brilliant brigade is a speciality for MBA students. Campus bustles with life. There are students from every course right from pharmacy, engineering, management and computer applications.
Hostel Facilities
I did not opt for a hostel as I had an option to rent out a flat in nearby area. The area has good living accommodation along with good hostel facilities too. I rented out a flat with 5 of my friends and stayed there for the 2 year term.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumnus meets every year and gets to share their experiences with the students. The alumnus come from different sectors and experience. Most of them now work in reputed organization and have carved a career out for themselves.
Admission
I had given the Maharashtra CET common entrance test and scored a 92. 14 percentile. I had marked this institute for my first list of admissions and luckily I did get admission in this institute itself. The exams happen around February of each year. The list of students goes into 3 slots. The institute has a strength of about 360 per year and the college later gives admission in form of management seats at the end of the 3 lists. The process of admission is pretty simple and it does not take too much time to finish them. They accept fees in form of demand drafts only.
Faculty
We had about 8 lectures in the first year. For the second year we got more than 15 lecturers who were available to teach according to the specialization. Average age of the teachers ranges from 30- 50 years. All teachers also had relavant work experience in their professional life before joining the institute.
