About my college

College is good for research activities. The management is strong in decision making. I highly recommend this college.

Course curriculum are strictly based on Anna University since it is a affiliated private college run by Christian Roman catholic diocese management. This college has many clubs like arts, sports etc. Also it has many professional associations like IEEE, IETE etc which helps us to mold us. Many companies used to come for on campus placement. Industrial visits were also there. The institution is accredited by NAAC etc.

The companies visited our college according to my knowledge is Hexaware technologies, Bosch etc. Normally the placement training starts during the starting of the final year. The recruiting companies usually conduct aptitude test first, followed by group discussion and personal interview. The amount of students get placed in good companies are normally 5%.

Many events are celebrated in our college like symposia in each department, college day, fine arts day, Association inauguration in each department. The college day is big celebration with all students and parents. The other celebrations like onam celebration, Christmas celebration are conducted by each departmentment. The NSS unit in the college celebrates special days like yoga day etc. There is also a NCC unit in the college.

The fee is 65000 per year which can be paid semester wise. The college shows transparency in fee break downs. A security deposit of 10000 has to be paid, which will be returned after the completion of the course. The fee structure is feasible and we can avail loans through bank and through government schemes also like first graduate scheme etc.

Scholarship based on reservation categories is given by the government. No scholarship is provided from the college.

Male female ratio is 40:60. Extracurricular activities like arts is promoted by fine arts club, regional language by tamil mantam. Other associations like IEEE, IET also promotes debates, technical talk etc. Ragging is not there in this college. Also racial discriminations are also not there. No political associations. All economical category students are there.

No. The hostels were good from my knowledge with two people in one room in a sharing basis. About 20 common toilets in each floor. The average rent including food is 4000 per month. Paying guest accommodation is not there. Students will be accomodated in the hostel rooms.

The college alumini is strong and we meet in a year usually in the month of December. The aluminis also help in the placement activities.

I got admission in 2005. At that time the admission was through entrance examination. I opted for counseling conducted by tamilnadu government. I chose Electronics and communication branch. This was the best college in kanyakumari district and hence I choose this college. The admission was done through counseling and hence after receiving the appointment letter from the counseling center, it was given to the college. 50% of the seats were filled through management quota for which you can go directly to the college and make admission.

The facilities were good. Many completed PhD and some have industrial experience as well. Faculties are good in the subjects. In my course there are 29 faculties. The faculties are aged from 50 to 30 years. Every one completed M. E. Some of them had completed PhD. Most of them have additional short term certifications. Every one is very clear in the subject they are teaching and they make the concepts clear for the students.
