My experience of college

About co-curricular activities, SRM has wide range things going on in this category. You can find that something or other takes place in the college almost every 2-3 days. It can be related to some workshop or competitions or some interaction takes place regarding any social cause etc. You will never get bored. Its just you have to maintain contacts with many people to get update about what all events are taking place in the campus.

The course curriculum conform to outcome based teaching learning process. as a first year student in the college, it has helped to learn few things and to impart some knowledge on various subjects regarding engineering. the college has helped to learn new techniques and skills which important for our engineering practice in future.

A student's placement is decided by its overall cgpa only. so if you have scored a nice cgpa then there is a chance that you can get a job in your desirable company. some good and high reputed companies do visit our college and offer job to students who are fit for that job which is basically the students who have high cgpa in their academic year.

Well two big fest take place in a year. one is technical fest and other is cultural fest. many known and famous celebrities are invited in these fest and students join the fest in vast numbers. there are other events which take place like workshop or events regarding fashion, dance etc.

The fee structure depends on the course which you opt for and your rank. if you get a nice rank in entrance exam then your tuition fees gets reduced. well for some courses the fee structure is pretty high and you have to pay some extra money for semester examinations. the college accepts mostly online mode of payment only.

I didn't opt for any education loan so no idea about it. But in case of scholarship, if you get a good rank in the entrance exam then your tuition fess is somewhat cut down according to your exam rank. If you get under 5k rank then you can expect some scholarship so you have to give your best in the entrance exam.

About campus life, there is never a dull moment in campus. there are many clubs which can keep you busy like robotics, aeromodelling etc. The campus in enriched by diversity and culture. its provides you many opportunities to show your talent in front of audience. something or other takes place in the college like some competitions or activities regarding sports. All activity related to extracurricular programs, forums, clubs, community service and students council are managed by the student affairs department.

Well many juniors are afraid of ragging in a college, but ragging is not entertained in this college. but this is my point of view, different people have different opinions about this thing. The seniors whom I met were very friendly and we bonded with them very nicely.

One can get admission into this college through entrance examination which is kept every year. the examination mode is online and it is based on MCQs. I opted ece because I wanted to do something in software world but since I didn't get nice rank so I was not be able to opt for csc branch. so it is very important to have a good rank in entrance exam so that you can get your desired course or branch. well now I got interested in ece branch and looking forward for future in this area.

Faculty of our college vary according to every class and course. some teachers are very experienced in their field and they help students a lot. the interaction between a teacher and student is most important. some teachers do interact and some do not. it depends on students also. if they try to communicate with teacher then the teacher also shows interest in interaction. teachers here are highly qualified.
