Satan's PG college

It used to be a good college but now am disappointed with the standard of students. They need to work on it.

The curriculum was quite contemporary and more practical bin nature. It has got a right balance of class room teaching and industry experience. We have been through various corporate visits which gave us the clear understanding of what is been taught in our classrooms. We used to follow the trimester pattern and this helped us to evaluate where we are standing and gave us the opportunity to improve.

Companies like: ITC NESTLE PWC DELLOITE P & G HUL JHONSON &JHONSON HDFC BANK CAFE COFEE DAY LOAPALA AXIS BANK ICICI BANK CITI BANK FLIPKART OXFORD UNIVERSITY PRESS BAJAJ CAPITAL Etc. came for the final placements. The avarage placements per year would have been 85% with avg pay package of 5lacs p.a back in 2011-2012

Annual event -Serendipity-student event Rotaract club -Durgapuja Independence day Environment day Children's day Saraswati puja and Holi by college admin. These are the main events we used to do and also take part in inter college events.

My fees was 535000and I opt for education loan it was bit expensive than other colleges. GBS is quite transparent about their fees structure, there were no hidden charges for any course only for the International Business students need to aoy additional for their visas and few expenses.

My father was in bank so it's easier for me to get the educational loan from the bank as GBS is enlisted college

The campus life was good I was the secretary of Rotaract club so got to do lot of social work and also experienced lot of activation planning. Since our campus environmentis hardcore corporate so we never faced problem post placements. We knew about proffesonalism.

Alas we got a poor almuni network, though our seniors are great and are in good position but the college authorities failed to connect with the alumni. Though personally we are in touch and contribute when needed.

1.Appeared in XAT 2.Applied for it with XAT score 3.Got an interview call 4.Finally got selected. The reason for opting this college was it has got a good faculty in marketing and secondly I have to stay in Kolkata and at that point GBS was best placement provider

All the faculties of our college are mostly PHD holders and some has got an industry experience. Avarage age would have been 45. There are few of them who has also got a fair amount of Industry experience and Few are ex IIM faculties. This balance of academics and industry exposure made our group of faculties best in the town.
