Remarks

The management tries to be as frugal as possible. The college needs infrastructure beyond academics. It needs decent sports facilities like a basketball court or a gym. It needs more non-technical books in the library. The magazine collection is quite good.

Entrance Preview

It was through CET. I got around 16000 rank. I opted for this college because it was close to home. Also it is the only engineering college in Puttur and the Civil engineering department is supposed to be good.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is as prescribed by the VTU. It is well taught by reasonably experienced and good lecturers. The choice of electives is limited to two.

Internships Opportunities

There was no internship. The college does not offer any internships nor does it encourage or support any such endeavours. The college is only focused on exam performance.

Placement Experience

The placements for Civil Engineering is next to nothing. Almost all graduates have to find their own job. The IT services companies like Infosys or Tech Mahindra can be options as well.

College Events

Chilume, is a month long cultural fest for the college student. It has close to 40 competitions ranging from Debates to dances to kite flying. Sports competitions are also held. Jnanasangama is a seminar competition in inter-college level.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite reasonable. The fees for me was about 33000 per year and it went up to 40000 by the final year due to the government raise.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't availed any scholarships or loans of sorts. There are decent scholarships for the ones who need and also loans as well.

Campus Life

The gender ratio is quite standard. There are no societies of sorts. The college is way behind in terms of extra-curricular activities. It needs a quiz club, a debate club and so on. There is uniform and the dress code is quite annoying.

Alumni/Alumna

I have had no special communication with the alumni. The college doesn't make make any special efforts to bring the alumni together but the college comes to Bengaluru for gathering the alumni for a get together.

Exam Structure

There are three internals for theoretical subjects. One internal for labs. The tests are not that hectic. They are quite manageable. The sem exams have sufficient prep time.

Faculty

The faculty of the basic sciences department are decent. The Civil engineering department has a few good lecturers must mostly inexperienced lecturers. Their communication skills in English is below average.

My College Review

Placement Experience:

RIT's placement scenario is very good, even for the most unpopular branches such as Civil Engineering. Starting from the 7th semester, students are allowed to participate in campus recruitment, and companies come to the campus for the entire final year. The major recruiting companies are L&T Construction, Shapoorji Pallonji, Brigade Group, Sobha Developers, Atkins, PWD, and Infosys for the non-core sector. Civil students on an average get ?5–6 LPA as salary, and the highest offer is usually in the range of ?12–15 LPA, depending on the company and the position. Almost 70–80% of Civil students are placed, while some of them go for higher studies or government examination.Site engineer, design engineer, planning engineer, survey engineer, and trainee engineer are the core positions that are offered. Also, non-traditional roles in IT and consulting can be taken up by those who are not interested in core engineering profiles.I will first acquire some work experience in the industry after completing my degree and then will pursue a master's degree in structural engineering to gain further specialization.

Placement Experience:

Actually imnin 1st semester so I aks from seniors so they told me highest PKG of cs branch is 86LPA and machenical is 60 LPA they are off campus package and in campus 57 LPA for cse and they also give minor degree courses for placement chance is increased in cs branch 93 % students placed 125 compony visited in college in 2024-25 I plan I get job after b tech if I don't placed in campus so i tried EAE examination.

Honest review from a student who doesn't hate his college but at the same know there are multiple places for improvement

Placement Experience:

Students become elegible for placements from 7th sem onwards but we are encouraged to do internship before final itself. Most of the companies that come here aren't t1 or even t2. Highest probably would be 12L only if the student is exceptional but most would secure a package 4-6. And the percentage of students getting placed is <50%

Placement Experience:

i have 100 percent confidence on myself and the college placement .because it has 95 percent placement in it sector.the students are eligible from 5 or 6 th semester as of there.there are one of good companies who visit our college like amazon, tata, microsoft some years ago google also visited they tries to contact and give placements to students.it has 33 lakh highest and the median is good enough as 12 lakh anually.

Placement Experience:

There are campus placements in our college to company like Amazon and infosys.students become eligible for campus placements for 6 or 7th semester.i think so minimum package is 8 lakhs per year and max is 35-50 lakhs.it depends on the way students give their interview the percentage of students getting placement might be somewhere around 30-35 percent.i have some start-up ideas such as real estate or hostel business

Placement Experience:

The placements ar pretty good, with top companies attending them. Companies such as Goldman Sachs, google, microsoft etc participate in them. The highest package goes around 56lpa, the average for cse being around 28lpa. 95% of them are placed.

Placement Experience:

Students of 4 year are eligible for placements and students of third year are eligible for internship.given they have more than 7 cgpa with no subject which is uncleared that is having active backlog .My plans is to get a pre placement offer through my first internship.Big companies like microsoft ,Tata ,wipro, boeing come to college .percentage of students getting placed increase every year .This year it was 60 percent.Roles offered and placement depend on your field of interest and which companies you are applying for .

We can prefer 3 colleges I have applied for only one college and I got seat in same college. The reason to choose this college is it provides good educational facilities. The fees are less when compared to other college. And also not far away distance from my Native place. After completion of 12th with minimum 80% marks, also obtained good rank in Common Entrance Text. I got seat in the same expected college. The elegibilty critera also include age limit whch should be below 25 years during the time of admission. Let me explain Admission process in our college: We have to register for the Entrance exam and aplication form need to be filled. Then next step is entrance xam on scheduled date. After exam, result will be declared. Conseling were conducted to select peferred college and branches based on rank. Seats are alloted and admissions are confirmed by paying fees.
