Review on College

A Staff Strike was held on 2013, which got media attention. It last for 3 months. College management had fired some staff members without any notice. College management doesnt support with funds for programmes.

Course Curriculum and Exam Structure was much better compared to the current situation. Our batch were following Calicut University, but things have changed. Kerala Technical University is facing some issues regarding Syllabus and Exam Structure.

When it comes to Placements, You may expect some Call centers to pick you up after 4 years of B.tech Course. All of us were disappointed with the Placement cell in our college. We were promised, Engineering companies would pick us depending on our performance, but the fact was those companies were selecting students with good communication skill, as they were Call Center companies.

Technical fest was conducted, but totally in favor of Management. Fund were not allotted by the College Management. Technical fest was conducted just for name sake. Cultural fest was conducted annually with great participation and great spirit.

It depends. There are some categories. Merit: Around INR 40,000/Year Management: INR 90,000/Year NRI: INR 1,50,000/Year (Expensive) This fee structure applies for Mechanical,Civil,Electrical,Applied,Computer Science,Electronics and Communication branches.

Unfortunately i dint opt for any.

Campus Life was great. We (2013-17) enjoyed a lot. We had a very good infrastructure. Our branch had one complete building. It was our home for 4 years. We had Inter branch Sports, Seminars, Mini projects, Main Projects, Industrial Visits, and lot more.

Boys Hostel is located 1 km away from College. It is located in a very good area surrounded with scenic beauty. Boys hotel was clean and average rooms. Food was below average. Girls hostel is within the College compound with 24x7 Security (SAFE).

Alumni network is going strong. Alumni meetups are conducted once in a year. Many of us get many reference regarding Job Vacancies and many more through this channel.

Interview, Admission on May 2013. This college has got an extra ordinary Infrastructure. They also provide wide range of courses. Well Qualified and Certtified faculties. Though they weren't much in to co-curricular activities, still they could give us complete support on our academics, Specially Faculties of Mechanical Engineering. Since our batch was under Calicut University we din't face much problems except for time lag for Results. I suggest all the blooming buds to go through the KTU Syllabus and not much into College features before you attend B.tech Course in Kerala.

IES College of Engineering had good Faculties. Well experienced and Qualified faculties. They could help us out in a lot ways. Faculties of Mechanical Engineering were more like friends. They used to sit with us for Projects, Seminars and they could plant confidence in all of us.
