Remarks

The administration is a bit chaos here as the university is an amalgamation of old and new technologies in the administration. You might find it very difficult to register yourself in the first place. But the good thing is that you rarely have to do things like this in the first place except for the registration and after graduation.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Learning here is mostly based on practical aspects as most of the courses offered are applied like agriculture, home science, fisheries, engineering, etc. The courses are having at least one practical class in each week giving an opportunity to the students to learn the practical aspects of the course, its needs and pre requisites.

Placement Experience

2.5

The placements of university are mostly need based. The placements are mainly related to the concerning industries and related to the subject matter mostly. But a few times the placements are also given in the companies which have marketing jobs. Internships are provided under industrial attachment.

College Events

4

Very diverse fests are celebrated all round the year in the university. Curricular fests and co curricular fests including Zeal, Dharohar, University Athletic Meet, etc. The fests are also organized in first year to motivate students for startups and management like Agro fun fair, and fun fairs of all the other colleges of university.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is not much expensive as the teaching fees is approx 20k to 22k for various courses a year. While there are some courses which are self financed require additional 50k per semester. In addition to this the mess and hostel fees are required which makes the fees a little higher but for a middle class person it is feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

Not posted for any scholarship or education loan. Asy family was able to support me for the studies, so I didn't applied for the above mentioned.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus life of university is the thing you'll miss the most after leaving the university. There are a lots of events in academics as well as for extra curricular activities. Talking about gender ratio, the gender ratio of this university is way higher than country average, according to an estimate I can say that the sex ratio is 1400 to 1500 or maybe more.

Hostel Facilities

4

Yes. The person not having any home inside the campus needs to register to the hostel. There are around 23 hostels and more are being constructed in the university for the students. Rooms are of different conditions based on the hostels. As some of the hostels are older and having rooms of not very good conditions but there are hostels having new rooms constructed too.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior junior network of our university is the key of the success of the students and alumni too. An alumni dont even know you will help you even after knowing that you are from this university.

Admission

The University conducts it's own entrance exams as well as take in the students from ICAR's national level exam. In both the exams you have to get good rank for the admissions. After that you can take the course of your choice on the basis of your rank. For university's entrance exam, you must be a domicile holder of Uttarakhand. Form filling mostly starts from February and ends in March last or April starting and exam is mostly conducted in May last or June starting, following which the results are announced in a week or so. Followed by counselling round in which seats are allotted to different courses.

Faculty

3

Faculty of the college is a vastly experienced and are working in the field currently. There expertise in combination with the practical labs and theory related to the practical makes a good learning environment. And in addition to this, there are industrial and village attachment programs too which help us understand the true depth of the subject.

Placement Experience:

The college has consistent placement record , reflecting strong academic, industrial training exposure. The placement cell also provide guidance for further and better opportunities, I guess there is no college which give direct placement for agriculture, yes we get to collaborate with many good training institutes and as far as i have seen majority of students go for Maters for the same course. In courses like AME, BHM, BCA & IT the college has significantlly good score, pharmacy department also has good no. of placements in MAX, Apollo, Cipla, Zydus lie companies.
