My College

I found the college good one to have knowledge as well as fun. Only certain improvements are required in placements opportunities.

My course had semester system with having 2 tests and one assignment for each subject in each semester. It included computer as a compulsory course, projectors were installed for presentation, had seminar rooms and a course coordinator was alloted for any problem or faculty related query.

When I was in college there were no such big placement drives to recruit freshers from our college as it was built a few years ago only. There was no preparation for placements. Only there were announcements of such placements aur when they were conducted anyone who wants to be recruited attended it. May be now it conducts bigger placement opportunity campaign.

Festivals like ganesh chaturthi, navratri were celebrated. Student slef conducted them with little guidance of staff and teachers. Other occassions like teachers day were also celebrated. Some inter college competitions were also held like rangoli, painting, poster making, debates, dance, sports events, singing, fashion walk, etc. which had students huge participantion to explore all interests.

The university had it's own SBI branch inside the campus and an ATM available at the entry gate of university. The fees was paid only through challan system which was available from college staff, has to be filled, sealed and signed at bank and then submitted to college back to have a record. There was no additional charges to secure admission and there was full transparency in the fee break down.

I don't know about if there's any scholarship programme or if it there then what is it's procedure as everyone I met had came through entrance exam and later admission process.

The campus life was fun as the campus was spacious, all green with trees and small gardens in between, concrete roads, parking lanes, canteen and central library. Gender ratio looked like almost equal or may be a little less of girls. Many events, workshops were also arranged university wide for different course requirements. Some inter college competitions were also held like rangoli, painting, poster making, debates, dance, sports events, singing, fashion walk, etc. which had students huge participantion to explore all interests.

Yes I opted for a hostel facility as I was from a different city. Application for hostel was to be made at the time of admission only as seats are limited and may run out soon. Then a list is revealed after some days telling about who gets which hostel and hostel warden allots room numbers. Rooms were in two or three bed sharing. Hostel was enough equipped for anyone. Cleaned twice or once weekly and now has a washing machine too. A tv room and space is also provided for fun. A mess was also there and it was good.

Seniors were helpful to tell which faculty requires what attention and there nature. There was no fresher introduction was conducted in the college so they also conducted the same for a fun event and enjoyment. It helped blending with them and college. They helped out in some assignments too.

I attended almost 10-12 lecturers's classes who were from new or less experienced lecturers to highly experienced lecturers. Most of them were very qualified and took other subjects in other colleges too. Don't know about their any certification or industry experience, but they provided full expertise through practical knowledge & llustrations and time to students by providing their contact numbers to each student.
