Remarks

The college is doing quite good and above expectation. The faculties are excellent and give their 100%. Overall the college is good if you are a student with an average CAT Percentile looking for a college that might fulfil your dream to get you your dream company.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Yes, the exam structure is quite fair. There are midterm and end term paper which carry around 60-70% weightage along with presentations and class participation. So that everybody is active in class. Also, there were industrial visits to spencers, PCBL, Banks etc to give us an industry experience.

Placement Experience

4

The Placement at IMI had been good so far. With an average package of 6.5 lakhs. Few companies which visited last were Randstad, HDFC, ICICI, CESC, Edelwise and many more. Same is the case with internships, I did my internship in a very good reputed FMCG company. The list of companies that visit the campus for SIP is very long. And yes the college conducts mock GD, PI to prepare the students for the palcement and internship process

College Events

4

1 - Annual cultural and management fest- CONFERO 2 - Cultural day in the month of February 3 - CONVERSE - Management Event 4 - Various seminars related to Marketing, Finance, Operations 5 - All festivals especially Holi, Diwali, Durga Pooja and many more. All the events are celebrated at a very large scale except for the regular festivals. And the participation in all the cultural and management event is from PAN India.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Yes, the College is very much transparent in fee breakdown. The year in which I took admission I paid a total of 14.5 lakhs which included my academic as well as hostel fees. The fee payment can be done through RTGS, NEFT. No, there were no additional charges except for the original fee structure.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. I did not opt for any scholarship or education loan. Though there were few available for the students who wanted to opt for it I did not opt for anything as such. There were scholarship for students who would attain 1st, 2nd, and 3rd position in the first year and many more like that

Campus Life

4.5

The gender ratio is equal at IMI, also talking about student diversity, there are students from all over the country be it Guwahati, Chennai, Jodhpur, Chandigarh, Gorakhpur. The campus life at IMI is very busy, students start their day at around 9 in the morning and end their day at 9, after classes, there are various lectures of corporate personalities or some kinda course like digital marketing, excel etc, which is then followed by some of the other sports activities like badminton, TT, volleyball, we have well equipped are for these sports. Then there are various projects assignments which we get on a daily basis, which brings us to the end of the day which is completed by dinner in the mess and a walk by the fountain area

Hostel Facilities

5

Yes. I opted for the hostel. I guess my college hostel is so far the best college hostel in the country. The hostel rooms are single occupancy, giving you every kind of facility. No, the hostel seats are not few. More than 70% of the students choose to stay in the hostel, even few of the localities stay in the hostel because it has very good rooms, security, mess food, cleaning staff, laundry service etc.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes. The college hosts many alumni lectures and alumni meet where we get to meet our alumni and discuss with them their real time experience. Also, they are always there to guide us, also if one needs help from any alumni to discuss any company they can freely approach them and discuss it

Admission

I did B.com in my graduation, and since then I have been interested in management courses, seeing the cut throat competition, I choose MBA as my post grad, so that I could fit into the corporate sector even better. I choose my institution, seeing the well qualified faculties, alumni, Placements, campus and of course the location. The very first thing which needs to be done for admission into a B-school is appearing for competitive exams such as - CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT etc. So for my college, I applied through my CAT score. Now for the admission process, the institute follows a rigorous procedure, which starts when you clear the merit list, by scoring a standard percentile which the institute decides, if you appear in the merit list, you’ll be called to appear in the next process which is GD, extempore and Personal Interview. I appeared for my admission process in the year 2018, in the month of March.

Faculty

4.5

The no of the lecture of each subject is 20, out of which one need to attend a minimum of 18, or else there will be grade drops. The faculty at IMI is excellent their expertise in their subjects is very good, the lectures even have various industry experience for eg: once our marketing assignment was judged my a radio jockey, also we even get lectures from foreign faculty visiting the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course only because of our HOD, but after completing my course, he left the course. He has helped us with all the things like web development and seo skills. By doing it practically for every student, he offers a domain for every student. I had difficulty with Google Ads & meta ads because it was taught by another faculty. The exam times were different by 3 months.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good and after the 4th-trimester students will be eligible for sitting in the final placements and after the 1st-trimester students will be eligible for the summer internship. Gartner, Big 4 and Grant Thornton like companies that hire in bulk with good packages but Gartner don't hire in bulk and it offers the PPO also after the SIP with around 17lacs, as of now I am not informed of the highest package because I still placements are going on so don't know right now. 97% of students get the placements from the college

It is one of the renowned institutes in Kolkata. But after admission got the clear msg. It is renowned for its engineering degree only not for PGDM or MBA. They even dont have proper faculties to teach students. I majored in Business Analytics, but back to then in 2019 there was not even one teacher who have subject knowledge.

College course structure is good but as faculty are not good implementation is bad. Need company visit and better placement. More focuses on MBA rather than the additional courses. Apart from this, it's a good college.

The good things I like is that the teachers teach through the slides prepared by himself and also told student to prepare PowerPoint presentation and deliver in the class and also give different case study to solve the problem. Only missing thing is that the student are getting less practical knowledge as compare to theory paper.

The good thing about this college are the activities that take place every Saturday, which is quite interesting and knowledgeable. The bad thing about the college is that the departments are divided on the basis of their courses so the students do not gather as a whole bunch of college.
