Remarks
Good reputation for the mechanical department and SRM was a well known engineering college also being a South Indian it was an advantage for me to study in my home state. Also, the lab facilities and practical experience is much better here than any other college
Course Curriculum Overview
I am afraid it was not much updated and the students can only get bookish knowledge here but as an engineering college there can be more to it but slowly things are changing some industrial training and workshop is arranged periodically but is not efficient for students
Placement Experience
It's perfect the pandemic doomed our 2020 batch, but the SRM placement was perfect during such situation too. About 67% of students were placed in our mechanical department out of which 15% were core placement.
College Events
Campus life was a bliss there was sem fest and also many extra events and fairs were periodically arranged for entertainment and motivation, movies were screened, IPL and football matches were screened overall a college life can be well enjoyed.
Fees and Financial Aid
No idea, I was not a part of any scholarship and nor any of my friends that I knew off. But, yes definitely there were many fee waivers and scholarship for best performing candidate and also for less privileged section.
Campus Life
The infrastructure is much appreciated and the buildings and lab facilities are much better than any other college also research facility and research is promoted here these students who are into research can pursue it without any hindrance
Hostel Facilities
Yeah, I opted for hostel it was very good, top class hygiene, well maintained rooms, adequate important were given to cleaning of rooms and hostel premises, food was delicious a large variety of food cusine were available everyday to choose from.
