College was run a by a Trust whose worth is around 1k Crore, so they had deep pockets and willing to spend money on new initiatives. Currently SVITS college is now became a University

MPET, in 2002, I ranked around 2000. I was getting IT seats in some govt collage but that time IT & CS branch was not considered good, so I have taken EC in SVITS. SVITS is considered as best private engineering college of MP and was located in Indore. It is run by Prestigious Vaishnav Trust of Indore which have around 20 more school/colleges.

Curriculum was pre designed by AICTE itself but college given me ample opportunities to learn by myself. We had a very good learning environment where we can unleash our wings to dream bigger

Internship is done at BSNL but college was not much helpful and no stipend offered. I dropped my resume at Idea, Airtel offices for internship but it seems they were not interested in giving internship.

Placement was good and I think around 80% of my batch mates got placed. Companies like TCS, Syntel, HCL, Capegemini, CSC visited our campus. Even Indian Army also had campus selection drive at our college

We had very grand teacher day celebration in our college. 3rd year students will organize class level function in which we will decorate our class and we have some plays for faculty members. then we will gather at main function hall with more events in which Student, Teacher will perform. Apart form that we have annual day, fresher day, final year day etc in our college. IEEE also had branch in our college, so we had there events also.

I had paid seat in collage, so it was expensive but next year govt of MP bring some new legislation and semester fees become half but as I was out of it, I still had to pay more fee

No scholarship but as it was prestigious institute, loan was easily available. I have not opted for any bank loan but some of my batch mates had loan

Campus life was lively and energetic. We have one week sports week in our college, we had around 10 acre of land available as sports ground and basketball court was there. Labs are spacious and had all required equipment. we had projects of robotics, VHDL Applications etc

Hostel was staying in a Private hostel but it was affiliated with our college. It was boys hostel and in front of college only. Food was above par and we had facilities like Gym, Swimming pool etc

College is doing alumni meet regularly and even they are trying to do alumni meet in various cities, so that more number of students can actually attend that alumni meet and benefit with increased social circle.

We had 3 mid-term and final semester exam in each semester. Mid term will have 20% weightage and average of best 2 will be added in final semester marks. so If I score 14,18 & 0 in three mid term, I will have 16 marks

Faculty was excellent, I have never seen any better teacher than our HOD B. M. Singi sir. He has in depth knowledge of digital electronics. He had several research paper under his name and even in final year he went for one year leave for some research in Singapore.
