Student's Review On Government College Of Engineering, Keonjhar, Keonjhar

I chose Mechanical Engineering in Government of Engineering Keonjhar because it's a government College and also it is located in a very calm and quiet place with natural environment. My preference was Mechanical because I was very much interested in it and also it provides a very bright future. Also because the city of my College from my native is 211 km.

Course Syllabus is vast and branch oriented and along with it extra subjects are also added such as yoga, environment etc.No we were not provided with industrial exposure. For that we had to take internship training at various places and gain some experience by ownself only. The faculties are really experienced,Educated,well oriented and good explanation teaching people.

Many companies visit us such as Vedanta,Imfa,Ocl, MCL and so on. Each company recruits 4-5 students and in some cases even more. Generally placement process i you should have a good cgpa, experience and good interview and other relevant skills. Alumni networking is really helpful and important as it help to crack our interview

Campus Life is really good and memorable. It can be cherished forever.We have branch fests,annual fests,Sports fest etc. They are really big events and participation is really high as all the colleges of other places are also invited. These are the best things in a college.

We have a JIO Fibre through which we get our wifi. Library is really big with a collection of 3000 books and 40 benches to sit and read. Equipments in only some lab are available and in other they are being brought slowly. Sports facilities is poor as we do not have a ground to play and lots of other things.

Yaa. Hostel Facility is good except sometimes there is water problem or food. It has something around 150-180 rooms with 3 children in 1 room. The admission in hostel just prior to the admission in college. We can report the hostel problem to the concerned authority.
