Anonymous's Review On SRMIST Delhi NCR Campus, Ghaziabad

SRM has good branding, therefore it attracts companies to a large extent(which is a necessity for engineering students). Also, it has wonderful laboratories and classroom facilities. The campus here is also beautiful and extensive. All these taken into consideration, one may well choose SRM.

Curriculum in SRM is pretty outdated with no industrial exposure. Also the faculties are not that good. However, that is not a great hindrance considering quality education available online and also there are ample internship opportunities to get industrial exposure.

SRM doesn't help in providing internship. For internships, one needs to get it from outside. However, placements are really good here in SRM. I haven't interned with any company as such but received a placement at Deloitte. The overall process was very easy. Primarily there was an aptitude test and on clearing the round, there was a GD based on Case-Study. After that there was a technical interview and HR interview.

Placements are a great attraction in SRM. Almost everyone gets a placement offer. Highest placement this year reached 41 lakhs while the median was 4.2 with an average of 4.8 lakhs. Anyone with decent knowledge gets above 6 lpa. Alumni network is not very strong in SRM, however, it is helpful at times. Placement Cell is also very helpful during placement season, however, there is no such Entrepreneur Cell for Engineering students

SRM is again well known for its national fests (Milan and Aarush). Although many fests take place throughout the year, the 2 fests namely Milan(Cultural fest) and Aarush(Technical fest) are well known and participated by almost all. People from other colleges come and visit as well. These are usually 4-day long fests with ample number of games and music, dance DJ etc.

Scholarships are really difficult to get. If you are board topper(any board) you are given full scholarship provided you have to maintain a GPA of 9.2 throughout. Also, fair reductions in tuition fees are made if you are the topper of your stream. Facilities of student loans are also available.

Campus infrastructure in SRM is wonderful.It contains a huge 3-storey library that consists of almost all types of books and also study cubicles for own study space. Sports facilities in SRM is again wonderful. It has 2 large fields, running track, basketball and badminton courts and indoor games like table-tennis, chess and many more. It also has gymnasium (free for hostilities) which is also good. The laboratories in SRM are also great with proper equipment and learning materials.

I stay in hostel, and I must admit the facilities provided in hostel are really good. The rooms are well organised and cleaned daily. There are provisions for different types of hostels: AC (2-sharing) ==> 2.5 lakhs per year AC (3-sharing) ==> 1.8 lakhs per year Non-AC (2-sharing) ==> 1.25 lakhs per year Non-AC (3-sharing) ==> 1 lakh per year Also, PG's are available at around same rate in nearby areas.
