Kshitij Kondawar's Review On RMD Sinhgad School Of Engineering -[RMDSSOE], Pune

I have chosen this institute because it comes under the brand name of the Sinhgad group of institutes. This institute has a very good infrastructure. Highly professional teachers and well-equipped labs is the specialty of this college.

The entire curriculum of engineering in this college is as per the Pune University. According to me, I don't think it was updated, the entire course seemed to revolve around years old syllabus which very much needs to be updated. Talking about industrial exposure, yes we were provided with an adequate of it. Every semester there used to be an industrial visit. The facilities were also well versed in their subject knowledge. But as we say there's always an exception, even here a few professors were not upto the mark. But that's very low if we think in terms of percentage.

I couldn't say much about placement and the related things because I had already decided to go for higher studies, hence I didn't opt for placement. But as far as I know, one of the mass recruiters that come to our college is Accenture. This company gives a decent package of around 3 lpa which is ok considering a fresher.

Every year we have a week full of events in the month of January. In that technical events like Robo war, engine 360, Robo race, etc are organized. Apart from that, there's also a fashion show, treasure hunt, and many more fun events. There's a huge concert on the main Sinhgad campus where famous celebrities perform. That's the gem in the crown.

I availed of a government scholarship which comes under the name of the TFWS scheme. In this among all the students applying for this scheme top 3 students are selected on the basis of merit and their entire tution fees are waived of which is approximately 80-90% of the entire fees.

Infrastructure is one of the best things about our college. Huge 7 storeyed building in C shape with one wing allotted for school. The library is full of books needed for an engineering student throughout his course. The labs are also well equipped with all the necessary equipment and instruments for practical knowledge.

There's no hostel facility available at this college. But generally, the students opt for PGs or rental flats around the college. I wouldn't be able to describe much about it because I lived with my parents.
