Remarks

SRM was providing the course I wanted to learn and if compared to the other colleges I applied the fees was less and for some documentary reasons I wasn't able to sit for JEE so this was the only option.

Course Curriculum Overview

It's going ok so far. Sometimes I face some issues with the faculty being rude or just impartial towards North Indians but other than that it has been very informative and a good learning expirence so far.

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 250000 per year

Placement Experience

For other departments like CSE it's good but Biotechnology doesn't really get many companies for placement maybe 2-3 maximum every year so I am not looking for placements and hence don't really keep much knowledge into it.

College Events

I love the campus life. This is probably the highlight of my stay and I really enjoy it. There are some issues with security sometimes they have rules for people who stay in the hostels or sre students but if someone says they are going to the hospital no one questions them even do it's lame and doesn't even do anything other than harass the students but other than that it's good.

Campus Life

I don't usual use the sport facilities so can't say much about that, wi-fi is horrible all over the place except the library, the library is good and a good place to sit and study, lab equipments can be improve. Half of the machines give wrong value so in exam if by chance you get one of those faulty machines then God help you.

Hostel Facilities

Was in hostel for one year but the food was so horrible that I would eat out most nights and hence fell sick pretty often so I moved out to apartment the next year. Other than that again the same problems the wardens were partial toward the North Indians and it was quite visible on there faces how displeased they were so that made me very angry sometimes and I got in a lot of quarrel with them when I saw this partiality.

Is VIT worth it

Placement Experience:

Placements in VIT UNIVERSITY is very good the average package is 8 lakhs and the Highest may go upto 1 crore every year.There is a separate placement cell in VIT chennai and they give you placement training from start of the third year. Many multinational companies like google, microsoft etc comes to VIT to pick students for their company. Almost 98 percent of the students gets places in VIT. After my degree I choose to sit for placements.

SRMIST is superb in all sense!!

I applied at PDEU, Gandhinagar and SRMIST and both colleges admissions were almost done but since my family is from Chennai, we al decided to stay close to home atleast for UG.
