For the faculty and the ambience. The college also has a good reputation which also helped in selecting this college. Moreover I think Chennai provides a good environment for students development both externally and internally. SRM also provides the platform to comprehend student affairs and mental health as well which also makes it a likable college. Having spent 2years in the ktr campus of SRM I have understood that it is necessary for students to come out of the comfort zone and learn new stuff by themselves. The course I enrolled for is Biotechnology. No particular reason fr opting this course. I have always been good in both maths and biology and this course gave a combination of both and once I dived deeper into this field I realised how interesting and important this course is. Anyone wishing to enroll in this course be assured of the fact that you are going on a rollercoaster ride with lots of new subjects to learn and your aim should be reaching the end where you can decide which is the subject that you want to learn thoroughly in the future.

The course curriculum provides a range of mandatory subjects with 2-3 electives and also project work. It is a tedious course where one has a lot of lab work with observation writing accompanied by suprise tests and internals. However the result of all of this pays off at the end when these methods help one in therir future. The academics is always expected high but also taken care of if a student has any problem while studying. The facilities are always ready to help if the students have any issue regarding their subject. Sometimes the faculty is found busy due to their research work but they aways welcome students to get their doubts cleared from them.

The field itself is not very flourished in India so one should not have high hopes regarding placements. However higher studies in this particular field can open doors and provide good oppertunities in the future.

The college provides ample amount of oppertunities to students for extracurricular activities. There are many clubs and associations that the student directories provide. Any student suitable enough can be a part of any of the club. It is also understood that the student should have determination to equally volunteer in the events held by the respective clubs. As for the campus life, the canteen area and the infrastructure of the campus fulfills that too. Even though the college is on the highway the campus provides all that could make the campus life of any student merry enough. Even the fests and the other programs that are arranged based on the different festivals and occations also cheer the students here.
