Remarks
I selected SRM IST because it was the best available college in my options considering fees and branch. Here i got the best branch possible as per my rank. I was very clear that i do not want to drop, and college was decent enough to go with it. Another convincing factor was its placement rate.
Course Curriculum Overview
Faculties depends on what you choose. Cirriculum is fine as compared to other colleges. Attendance, fees, examination are things which are strict here, so much that students are troubled by this. Academics part is not very impressive as many teachers are not so good, but it's same in every college.
Internships Opportunities
Companies do not come in campus to provide internships until 4th year.
Placement Experience
There are 500+ companies that visit campus every year. Almost all students get placed in some or the other kind of company. but it purely depends on the skills of students of what company hires them.
College Events
2 major techno-management and cultural fests. Working in them is interesting and that's where you learn and have fun, maybe not so much as an audience. There are several other associations and teams where a student can be a part of and take part in national and international events.
Campus Life
Library is wonderful. Equipments and everything are fine. we even have an incubation centre to promote startups and various organizations and fests to participate in. Sports is okay, but is majorly covered by sports quota people but you still can play, however there are many more interesting things to spend your time in. 1 flaw is that there is no swimming pool here.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is much better than many other colleges. Washrooms are very dirty. Mess food will taste majorly like South Indian but is okay. Rooms are majorly 3 sharing, some are 4 as well. You have wifi, water and major required facilities. Regular eatables and materials are available near campus. People usually move out after 1st or 2nd year, to nearby apartments for better lifestyle.
