To avail the cultural richness of the region and because it was easily accessible, opted for the specific course to further my ambitions in the field.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum needs to be updated to include more relevant subjects according to current industry requirements. Industry exposure was minimal. MRS A. GEETHA, MRS. U SOWMMIYA, MS. D ANITHA, MR. A. RATHINAM, MR. C. BHARATIRAJA, MR. ARUL JOSEPH were really good.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 860000 per year

Placement Experience

The companies which boosted were mostly either mass or cs it oriented with job profiles for sales rep or data or business analyst. Jobs for core branches were minimal and only a handful of the 1800 odd students were recruited on campus in core jobs. CDC did a good job but alumni is no good and start ups like Kreator 3d and Rizel automotive have come up.

College Events

Cultural fest Aaruush was the best attended as far as I know. Techno management fest Milan was also attended well but lacked the hustle bustle of the former. But both had celebrities coming in from all over India and abroad and generated quite a buzz in the city of Chennai and around

Campus Life

The infrastructure was very adequate except there was no swimming pool or any college team to represent the college in national or inter college events in various sports. Labs and libraries were sufficiently equiped and wifi was provided throughout the campus.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are easily available and are quite costly too. But the hostels are large enough to accomodate all the students. 8 blocks for males and 2 for females. Rooms maybe 2 or 3 sharing, ac or non ac, with attached or common bathrooms.

Hostel Fee: INR 240000 per year

Is VIT worth it

Placement Experience:

Placements in VIT UNIVERSITY is very good the average package is 8 lakhs and the Highest may go upto 1 crore every year.There is a separate placement cell in VIT chennai and they give you placement training from start of the third year. Many multinational companies like google, microsoft etc comes to VIT to pick students for their company. Almost 98 percent of the students gets places in VIT. After my degree I choose to sit for placements.

SRMIST is superb in all sense!!

I applied at PDEU, Gandhinagar and SRMIST and both colleges admissions were almost done but since my family is from Chennai, we al decided to stay close to home atleast for UG. Entrance is their for SRM University and one has to clear that to get admission here.
