I chose SRM due to its international standards and tie ups with one of the best international universities. The student abroad programs that are provided at SRM giving us the freedom to participate and be a part of an university abroad and do a project there is just an opportunity that not all colleges provide. The infrastructure of the university for the library that provides it students with thousands of ebooks to the tech teams available on campus that take part in top national as well as international competitions like SAE, ASME,Shell to name a few really got my attention.

Being the 1st batch at SRM to follow the 2018 regulations I feel that the syllabus has been changed a lot compared to the previous curriculum. SRM focus a lot on industrial exposure and has recently updated their PEOs that are focused towards making us industry ready and took feedback of parents as well as students regarding the same. They also provide the students with a course option of Mooc or Industrial training whatever fits the students better. Most of the faculties are very encouraging. They are ready to help whenever they have time they stay back extra hours to clear even the smallest doubt. They are always available in email,text after college hours for any doubts or problems that we face. Mr. Selvakumar, Mr. Rajesh Agarwal, Mrs. Sabita Gauni are few of the faculties that really stood out for me.

Amazon,CISCO, DBS, SAP Labs HSBC,Google,Goldman Sachs are few of the companies that came to SRM in 2019 With over 8500 job offers and the highest package of 41.6 L was offered. The placement department is very helpful and guides every student personally. They make students placement read since the 1st semester. With regular Alumni meets and connection opportunities the Alumni of SRM is very helpful may it being helping us with creating a resume or referring us to their comapny. The entrepreneur cell supports students and their start ups a lot with a great funding. From equipments and space to work to monetary funds.

The two biggest fests at SRM is Aaruush which is a techno management fest amd Milan which is a cultural fest. Aaruush is a student run organization that was inaugurated by Dr.Abdul Kalam. Every year it brings guests of high level such as personals of the army and RAW, arjun kanango and viraj gehalani, the MHRD minister, Suresh raina and many more were bought to the campus. Aaarush also has a great range of Expos such as that of DRDO, robots, cars and what not. Students from over 200+ colleges take part in the events organized by Aaruush. Milan on the other had is a cultural fest that is financially supported by the management with guests like winners of beauty pageants to vidy vox a famous youtube singer to salim suliman.

SRM as it claims really has a very good infrastructure that does make it a world class university. From the latest equipment in the labs to track field for sports a badminton court, volleyball court, wrestling ground, basketball court everything to support and inculcate sports into one's personality. SRMs campus wifi can be accessed anywhere in campus and its hostel wifi has super fast internet access. The library is 3 floors with each floor having reading halls and a student study hall for easy access. With tens of thousands of books as well as ebooks that's are available at ease to all students. The umiversity also lends laptops to final year students to complete their projects amd research works.

Yes I am a hosteller. 1st year female students have 2 hostles for themselves which is 3 sharing with attached washrooms for girls. Where as boys have 3 hostles exclusively for 1st years. 2nd year onwards the hostels are different. For girls a the hostels have a gym, TV room, departmental store, food courts, indoor games room all inside the hostel. The umiversity provides us with 2 sharing to 6 sharing room in different hostels with ac as well as without Ac. To avail hostel rooms is very easy. The hostel provides us with north as well as south indian menus for breakfast lunch and dinner giving us a wide variety and options. The availability of PG around campus is abundant which is cheaper than hostels.
