Remarks

SRM is one of the reputed private colleges for engineering. It organizes various fests and workshops for the wholesome development of the students. Also, it is easily accessible from every part of the country.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course syllabus is very well updated. Industrial exposure is not at all here. Students have to manage everything themselves. Few faculties here are quite partial for north indians and south indians.

Class Size: 66Course Fees: INR 1000000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements in my branch (ECE) is not much. Most of the students get placed in the IT companies rather than core ECE companies.

College Events

SRM has two fests Aaruush is the national level technical fest in the month of august and Milan is the cultural fest in march. Both the fest involve lots of student participation. Various teams and committees are formed.

Campus Life

Srm has a good infrastructure and has all the facilities like sports area, wifi, library and lab equipments. It also has shops nearby for purchasing things.

Hostel Facilities

Girls hostel infrastructure is very good. Wardens are also helpful and cooperative. Hostel rooms are very well designed and are equipped with ac, geyser, wifi, etc.

Is VIT worth it

Placement Experience:

Placements in VIT UNIVERSITY is very good the average package is 8 lakhs and the Highest may go upto 1 crore every year.There is a separate placement cell in VIT chennai and they give you placement training from start of the third year. Many multinational companies like google, microsoft etc comes to VIT to pick students for their company. Almost 98 percent of the students gets places in VIT. After my degree I choose to sit for placements.

SRMIST is superb in all sense!!

I applied at PDEU, Gandhinagar and SRMIST and both colleges admissions were almost done but since my family is from Chennai, we al decided to stay close to home atleast for UG.
