Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum and syllabus are fantastic and the facilities for labs are really good. Although the teaching staff isn't too good for a few subjects. Some teachers are excellent. Opinion is based on one year of experience so shouldn't be generalized. The best part is that start-ups are really promoted and for students who wish to study further, subjects are accordingly taught

A lot of well known companies visit the college. Cannot talk a lot about the placement process as I'm still in the first year. Start-ups and entrepreneurship is really promoted in the college. Lot of support us also offered from the college regarding the same. The college helps in everyway possible with technical, mechanical and monetary support

College Events

One of the biggest techno-cultural fest is held here and is really good for every student and grasps the attention of everyone. Two main fest are there in each calendar year apart from the smaller scale ones

Campus Life

Sports facilities are adequate, library is very good and huge, equipment in the lab is great, could improve on sports facilities for non sports quota students. Labs fit personal student projects are also available for startups.

Hostel Facilities

The hostels are decent enough. There are no power cuts as such. Water is available throughout the day. The quality of the water for bathing etc. isn't good. It's actually hard water. Drinking water is provided on each floor by a cooler and a water heater is also present. The hostel is although more expensive compared to the PGs if you see the total annual expenditure. PGs are more convenient for senior students

Is VIT worth it

Placement Experience:

Placements in VIT UNIVERSITY is very good the average package is 8 lakhs and the Highest may go upto 1 crore every year.There is a separate placement cell in VIT chennai and they give you placement training from start of the third year. Many multinational companies like google, microsoft etc comes to VIT to pick students for their company. Almost 98 percent of the students gets places in VIT. After my degree I choose to sit for placements.

SRMIST is superb in all sense!!

I applied at PDEU, Gandhinagar and SRMIST and both colleges admissions were almost done but since my family is from Chennai, we al decided to stay close to home atleast for UG. Entrance is their for SRM University and one has to clear that to get admission here.
