Remarks

Famous college,great infrastructure and facilities. Many courses are offered by the institute and people from all parts of India come here,so a variety of different cultures are present in this Institute.Lot's of options are available other than academics for skill development.

Syllabus was well updated and not obsolete. Although industrial exposure isn't provided in the course until 3rd year. Most faculties are average although few are very knowledgeable and experienced like Dr.TVVLN Rao sir,Dr. Piyush Sharma

It is difficult for Mechanical Engineers and Automobile Engineers but CSE department gets a lot of offers from various companies. Even companies like Google,Amazon come for Placements but chose only 1 or 2 students.For mechanical engineers it's tough to get placed for a high package but I know a few who have done it, so it's possible.

College Events

Campus life is okay, the fests are great but now they have lost the spark. Although extra curricular activities are very good. As a mechanical engineering student, automobile teams is the best option for skill development and growth.Highly recommended if you are in Mechanical or automobile department.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are options for availing scholarship like scoring extraordinarily good in the entrance exam and at the end of an year. You can get tution fees relief for upto 75%. Rank below 1000 can avail scholarships and CGPA above 9 at the end of an academic year can give you a chance.

Campus Life

WiFi is good but many a times it doesn't connect and same case with hostel WiFi. Library is good and filled with many options. Lab's are sufficient enough.Sports Facilities are great and many opportunities are there for sports lovers.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel infrastructure is above average. There are options for 2 sharing and 3 sharing. Hostel infrastructure matters not when you have a great pack of friends to enjoy your life.The wardens might be a hindrance but still,it's alright.

Is VIT worth it

Placement Experience:

Placements in VIT UNIVERSITY is very good the average package is 8 lakhs and the Highest may go upto 1 crore every year.There is a separate placement cell in VIT chennai and they give you placement training from start of the third year. Many multinational companies like google, microsoft etc comes to VIT to pick students for their company. Almost 98 percent of the students gets places in VIT. After my degree I choose to sit for placements.

SRMIST is superb in all sense!!

I applied at PDEU, Gandhinagar and SRMIST and both colleges admissions were almost done but since my family is from Chennai, we al decided to stay close to home atleast for UG.
