Course Curriculum Overview

Course Curriculum is just above average. Academics is good. Though it should be more application based rather than theory based. The faculties totally depend on an individual level and is kind of subjective. If you want to learn deeply about a subject you have to take initiative on your own. If they notice that you are showing interest in subject then they also help you.

In between great and Mediocre. It totally depends on you. On your resume. How much work you have put in building your skill. And can you excel in the rat race to get acknowledged by the companies or the HR Executive which come for the interviews. Though the college offers a lot of insight into how the market works. And we get a lot of guidance from the Career Development Centre to guide us into finding the right job for us.

College Events

It is quite good. You get a lot of opportunities to explore your talents and meet people from different cultures, background and ethnicity. Working for the cultural events is something I look forward to every year. The MUN society is very good. They are very professional with their work and it was a pleasure to be a part of it. I made a lot of new friends because of it.

Campus Life

Decent at best. Needs improvement amd renovation. The infrastructure needs to be renewed and if they charge so much for the fees at least a central Air Conditioning Unit should be made available to every class. The toilet is horrendous for boys. They aren't properly maintained.

Is VIT worth it

Placement Experience:

Placements in VIT UNIVERSITY is very good the average package is 8 lakhs and the Highest may go upto 1 crore every year.There is a separate placement cell in VIT chennai and they give you placement training from start of the third year. Many multinational companies like google, microsoft etc comes to VIT to pick students for their company. Almost 98 percent of the students gets places in VIT. After my degree I choose to sit for placements.

SRMIST is superb in all sense!!

I applied at PDEU, Gandhinagar and SRMIST and both colleges admissions were almost done but since my family is from Chennai, we al decided to stay close to home atleast for UG.
