To be very honest, there may be better colleges, but after my two months of research on more than 8 dental colleges in north India, I found that SDCH was best for me. Of course, there are many factors: The affordable fee. The fascinating and refreshing weather. The location of the college. The college has pg departments. Regular festival celebrations, Fest, Sports week, DJ nights, Etc. College is located on the bank of holy river ganga, you can witness daily sunrise through the mountains. I love the weather of Rishikesh as well as the location of college, it is located far from the city commotion. You can walk on the bank of river or jog daily or just sit there with your loved ones, you will feel fresh and fresh and fresh. Helping faculties, no compromise in study, you may have to face daily viva and questions in classroom. You can't hide yourself from the eyes of faculties (may not be good for some. Laboratories have more than enough instruments, machines. etc. The nearest market is at distance of 10 to 15 mins. Of distance – Triveni Ghat. Stationery shops and restaurants are just outside the college campus. College canteen is also there where you will be found in boring lectures eating bread pakoda and Maggie with coffee;). They will make you aware of all the tough situations you will be facing in coming days. The only thing they want back in return is RESPECT from juniors. You cannot roam all day in the rishikesh on working days, there is fixed timing for daily outing and fixes procedures for gate pass.

BDS is a medical cum artistic course. You will enjoy carving the tooth, making dentures for edentulous patients. You may have to study less than a MBBS student but you will be working for more than 4 hours in lab making teeth, polishing etc. you will be given fixed deadlines to submit lab works so you may have to spent many sleepless nights working in your room. In dentistry, Broken carvings will break your heart more than your loved ones. That much I cannot make you understand right now. But this is cent percent true – Doctor + ENgineer + artist =DENTIST. Here in seema dental college and hospital, you will get a perfect environment for your studies and health as well. Faculties are very helpful. I, personally would love to mention and appreciate the immediate reply and solution to your every queries of the Executive director of SDCH, Dr. Vivek Sang sir. He will help and guide you in your every query from the day of your neet qualifying to assuring your seat in SDCH and after that from yor day of admission to the day of graduation. I would also love to mention the great personality who maintains his discipline and honesty to the sky, honorable vice principal dr. prem Prakash gupta sir, the HOD of Biochemistry. Discipline is the top priority in his class and lab. Further, I would like to mention about the most interactive faculty Dr. Geeta Arya ma’am from department of Prosthodontics.

As i have earlier said that BDS is not a course where you will be hired by companies. Here you will have to set up your own clinic after course or you may join any higher hospital. There is a misconception that this course has a lesser opportunity but believe me this is not true. After BDS you are a specialised doctor where you are treating patients only related to oral and maxillofacial issues but you at the same time you will be knowing all the general concepts which a physician and general surgeon knows. You will be surprised to know that a person with MDS in oral and maxillofacial surgery (which is a higher degree after BDS) works with Brain and neurosurgeons in higher and most difficult surgeries.

Campus life more depends on you. like for some students they are busy for whole day college, games, gym, swimming, because you have a lot of options. for students like me it is just normal like sleeping after college and library and dinner and sleeping again.;) There a lot of cultural events, competitions, fest. like you will find something new happening every single day.

If you got more than 400 marks in NEET then you may get scholarship in college fee. College campus is not that much large and actually you don't need. All the facilities are present within the campus. Campus is equipped with JIO wifi. You will have wifi network in every corner of campus. Most of indoor and outdoor games are there in campus itself 1. Volleyball 2. Basketball 3. Kabaddi 4. Badminton 5. Table tennis badminton court is inside auditorium building which along with badminton and table tennis also include GYM and SWIMMING POOL in basement. Library is in the basement of hostel so there is pin drop silence always. It has collection of all the necessary books either Asian or international edition along with the journals and new research papers. You will find daily newspapers and magazines there. Xerox centre and computers are present within library. One thing I don't like about library and I want to mention here is about its timing. It remains open only till 9 p.m in night. If it will open for 24 hours we can gain and absorb more because in room bed has stronger magnetic effect than chair and table;). Labs are highly equipped with all the modern technologies and equipment.

• Hostel facility is very nice with double or single sharing rooms and attached washrooms. You will get ac or non-ac rooms based on your preferences. Two beds, two study table, 2 chair(simple plastic), 2 almirah, 2 fans and 2 tubelights in each room. In winter you will be given 24 hour warm water in shower, tap and in basin as well( i personally love this). Electricity bill is not included in hostel fee. • College have swimming pool, gym, badminton, volleyball, basketball, kabaddi etc courts. • Mess is good. 4 times meal. Has a large no. Of dishes. Only eggs for non veg lovers.
