Remarks

I chose this college as it is one of the best government colleges of Odisha. Very few colleges indeed provide the biotechnology degree course. The best thing about the college is that it is re-accredited at 'A' level by National Assessment Accreditation Council (NAAC).

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is designed in such a way that it not only prepares students for university exams but also for competitive exams. As the biotechnology course demands for a combination of a variety of subjects, the syllabus is designed in such a way consisting of core subjects and general electives. The syllabus was recently updated for the students of 2019-22 session which is more student-friendly.The faculties are good and very interactive with students. We have one guest faculty who teaches the toughest subjects with the help of PowerPoint presentation to make the concepts look easier to understand. The practical classes are really interesting.

Internships Opportunities

Placement Experience

2.5

The placement opportunities are more for the students of Computer Science stream. In the last three years, annual campus drives were organized in association with organizations like IBM Daksh, Genpact, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, HSBC, SBI(for Probationary Officers). Many students in the final year are given opportunities in the drive and many of them have been selected and now working in different reputed organizations of the country.

College Events

5

The college conducts a lots of cultural events and competitions. A Fresher's party is given officially to welcome the new-comers. The Farewell parties are also given officially to the pupils in the last year of their degree. A lots of competitions are held at the end of the year like dance, song, debate, essay, drawing, poster making, quiz, jhoti and rangoli competitions followed by Annual Function and Prize Distribution.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Prerana Scholarship is provided by the Govt. of Odisha to the students of reserved categories like SC/ST /OBC/SEBC/EBC to provide financial support to the poor and meritorious students.Another scholarship e-Medhabruti is also provided by the government to the UG students coming under low-income category with annual income less than 6 lakhs p.a. with an amount of rs.5000 each year for 3 years.

Campus Life

3

The college has an ancient infrastructure as it was established almost in the year 1957.Recently,certain enhancements has been done in the infrastructure which makes the college more appealing. The college has a large campus, spacious classrooms,Basketball Court, large playground, hostels, canteen, innovative library and laboratories. The equipments in the labs for self-financing course like Biotechnology needs to improved because all the practicals given in the syllabus cannot be performed due to lack of some material or equipment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I've chosen this course because i love Zoology. The curriculum is strict and it also focus in the discipline of the students. The only problem is the class our overlaps with sports hour so if you want to practice your game you've to miss the last 2 classes. They all teach so professionally . Examination here are conducted so neatly and the time period is also okay.

Course Curriculum Overview:

those course curricullams at central university of odisha is thought fully designed ,offering a balanced blend of theoretical depth and practical relevance. on eof the key reason why students opt for such courses like int mathmatiss is the seamless academic progression and strong foundation it provides for research and comprdative exams. that curricullum could be more better as it can be more practical. what we are studing is like 80% theory and just 20% practical. so i do think that could be more better. the quality needs to be improved.

The curriculum is according to CBSH syllabus,New Delhi. The syllabus can include more practicals. And also the availability of instruments should be there to do practicals individually. The exams are normal ...but the time given can change sometimes due to external factors that might shift the exam dates.
