Remarks

Thiruvananthapuram is the educational hub of Kerala. Mar Ivanios has access to all the sophistication that Trivandrum city offer. The college is the studios. It is under the strict control of management. It is politics-ragging free campus. It provides all the infrastructure for studies. It has a very good library. If you choose Trivandrum as your graduation destination, undoubtedly mar Ivanios is the best. Admission to seats is allotted on the basis of both merit and quota. Remember, if you are availing merit, then you should have sound scores. And you are supposed to pay around 2 lakhs if you go for management seats.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Economics is the most dynamic course in social science. It offers more job opportunities compared to any other social science branch. Your class may consist of around 70-80 students. The number of faculties is very poor since the Department of Economics is very small than any other department in Ivanios. Quality of teaching is average. Being autonomous, all exams are conducted timely.

Placement Experience

1

Placements should not be expected for Economics since this course don't provide you with enough skills to meet the challenges. MA is necessary for placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees aren't big unless and until you are not choosing management seats. You can avail the scholarship by the Government of Kerala. There are no other scholarships on the basis of your academics. Campus recruitment should not be expected.

Campus Life

3.5

You will have access to a good library. There are more than 60k books. There are no special amenities offered in the classroom. Sports are given importance. NCC three wings are active. NSS is also active. There are many other clubs too. Extracurricular activities are given importance.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Room is normally shared between four people. There's no charging area in the room. Food is good.

Exams are held each semester and are moderately difficult beacuse of this, so practical training and teaching methods need improvement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as because I like English Literature. The student ratio that my class own is about 48 students in total. Majority of the teachers who are posted there are those who have qualified with NET (NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST). The current HOD is one of the retired Assistant Professor from one of the renowned college around Kozhikode town. Internal exam were timely, but coming to University exams it was so restless. But as if now, it is getting into the track again by conducting exams on time.

Exams are extremely challenging and if we have covered minimum portions we can easily go through them. And any malpractices like attempts are not allowed and would get punished for. I chose for my own interest and have enough fun throughout the time period.
