Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is good and updated form time to time. They also not only focus on the academics side but help us be better professionals in the industry. The are also many campus interview that takes place for the final year students The are industrial visits for the final year bpharm students and 3rd year pharmd students. In which the college takes you to various industries related to the pharma industry.
Placement Experience
Many companies who leads the pharma industry has studens form JSS and while I dont know how the campus selection criteria works I do know that almost 100% of the students for jss have no problem getting a placement anywhere.
College Events
Pharma fest: it is celebrated for 3 days with different theams for different day eg cosplay day, Ethnic day, retro day etc. Onam: it is celebrated with lot of joy for all the students and faculty. In which we lay a flower carpet and celebrate many south indian games like tug of war. Everyone wears a mundu or saree for this. And meals for this is searved in a banana leaf. Kannada sambrama: it is celebrated with lot music and dance. Many celebrities are called as guests to this many cultural activities are performed.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees set for this year is 157000. The fees is same for all four year for the student and the same fee is to be paid fo all four year by the student. It was less for our seniors but I did not increase for them and are paying the same fee. The fee is properly broken down and is very transparent. The college take all forms of payment. Including cheque. bank transfer and by card.
Fees and Financial Aid
I did not opt for and scholarship. Yes the college does offer scholarship. But I do not know about the criteria for applying.
Campus Life
The gender ratio is almost 50/50. There are students for almost everywhere in India. And it is very diverse. Students here come from all types of bagrounds. The is a basketball ball court, a tennis court, lot of batmintion courts and a cricket court the extra curricular is promoted. The labs are really good and all equipment that are available for the excellent study of pharmacy is provided.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, It is very nice and for the stay it is between 60000-80000. Ranging form 5 sharing with no attached bathroom to 2 sharing with attached bathroom. The rooms are very comfortable and the food is ok. And the biggest advantage is that is is in campus and just a few metres walk to college.
Alumni/Alumna
It is exllent and it is one of the thing that suprise me. A alumini meet is hosted every year and students for all over the world even form the firts batch to study there can be seen there. It is heartwarming to see.
Admission
After the exam all the procedures were faily easy. The results were published on the same day. And all my certificate where give on the same day. They gave us the fees structure which was to be paid.
Faculty
The faculty are well trained and equiped for the students needs. Form what I have seen the faculty is willing to help the students in any way possible. There are different faculty for different subjects specialties. All the head of departments have phds in various fields. Many of the new hire are give extensive training.
