Atmosphere is good over there. They provided me the best platform for accomplishing my certain goals and now am in a good institute for higher Education, I must always be thankful for the college which gave me this opportunity.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is provided by Tamilnadu Dr MGR medical University and as per the bachelor's degree, it does provide only basic understanding of the stream and it requires a master's degree to involve in research work in pharmacy.
Placement Experience
The placements are conducted in the campus and the pharmaceutical companies like Mylan, strides, skn Pharma, Sun Pharma, Abbott etc came for the recruitment. The average salary for a b. pharm graduate for industrial job is around 20000 and the marketing jobs are paid a bit higher.
College Events
Technical workshops related to pharmacology, pharmaceutics are conducted. Conferences are conducted or students are allowed to participate in external conferences. The cultural events are celebrated very well. Pongal festival is organised and celebrated every year. Annual sports meet, science club events, arts, singing, dance etc are always done and enjoyed by the students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
I paid around 80,000 per annum for 4 years and the fee is considered comparably high. I am not aware of the current fee structure. It depends on the students to decide it is feasible or expensive. As the years progressed, I guess the fees would have increased possibly.
Fees and Financial Aid
I did not avail any scholarship but I know people who got scholarship based on the government schemes and college facilitated the students to avail those scholarships in timely manner. Students who come through government alloted seats usually get these scholarships.
Campus Life
They have the best ground for indoor as well as outdoor sports. Cultural activities are well celebrated every year. Auditorium is high class built facility. There are numerous activities associated with interpersonal skills development and there are several extracurricular activities clubs.
Hostel Facilities
I was not in hostel. But as far as I know, the hostel rooms are well equipped and the rooms are not in shared basis. The hostel rooms are with sufficient spacing and the hostel mess also provide good food.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, the alumni association are actively involved in helping the juniors. There are yearly alumni meets where persons from different positions come and interact and they also help students who are in current batches regarding their job placements.
Admission
I got admission based on my 12th STD marks. After completing 12th, I wanted to chose a stream related to biology, so I took pharmacy. The admission procedure depends on the Percentage of your marks in the subjects other than language subjects.
Faculty
The faculty of the college is well qualified and teaches in optimum level and helps in understanding other topics also. The students are also assigned a mentor from 1st year and that mentor will take care of the students both academically and personally for the entire duration of the course
