Remarks

The College faculty is expert in forcing the students to participate in certain certificate courses without taking care of the students's interest in that particular course by mentioning the course as compulsory even if it is not. The college seized the mobile phone of many students in first year thinking that the students are misusing, which i carried for a valid reason with class teacher's permission and they did not return my mobile phone till now in spite of apologizing many times through letters and also my parents went to the college for explaining the reason for carrying the mobile to the college and now it's been three years that the college seized the mobile phones of the students and did not return it till now.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

Teachers teach directly by reading the textbook and sometimes ask the students to take seminars for completing this syllabus. There are no industrial visits organized for the students, only a field visit in any of the village of Tamil Nadu is organised to meet with the students of village which is not at all useful for the students. Some courses are offered to help the students in preparing for campus interviews which is helpful in securing on-campus placements.

Placement Experience

3.5

Various companies like N-trust. Barclay's company and insurance companies visited the campus for their placements. They conducted written test, elimination round and final the interview for recruitment. Institution took special steps for preparing the students for placement by organizing training courses.

College Events

2

There are various events celebrated in the college like cultural program for two days in a single academic year, seminar conducted by various departments separately, sports day, college day, Union inauguration and valedictory function for union members.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees for my program per semester is 6000 including the semester fee and exam fees and the mode of payment is directly submitting the fee to the class teacher. There are no additional fees charged to secure an admission. the fee structure of this college is feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

No i have not opted for any of scholarship or education loan. The college provide some kind of scholarship to all the SC, ST, MBA,BC category students every year in their bank accounts.

Campus Life

2.5

There are one to two labs for some of the departments. Some of the departments conduct some competitions like quiz competition, essay writing competition sometimes which is not so good as they are conducted by the senior students and not judged by the teachers at the time of competition.

Alumni/Alumna

My experience with my seniors is not much good as they do not take interest in sharing their experiences with us.

Admission

I got the admission by filling the admission form with the admission fee. One of my friend suggested me to join this college. I got the admission in the month of June in 2017. I was asked to submit my 12th standard mark sheet and xerox copy of 10th standard mark sheet.

Faculty

2

The faculty of my college is good but some of the teachers are very poor in teaching and are themselves not clear with the subject and therefore are unsuccessful in providing clarity about the subject and in clearing the doubts of the students. Most of the teachers teach mostly in Tamil.

The department of English not only offers good education but also so many values to lead our life. Faculties were so friendly in clearing students' doubts. There was personality development course to improve students' personality. Students had to choose any other subjects other than they are studying for sbi course. Due to this students learn about other subjects too.

Placement Experience:

The Placements at Sindhi College have been quite strong with numerous students securing positions in top prior companies like Sutherland, Infosys, free lance as a Tour Operator and working at leading Travel Agencies like Wanderlust Mathura Travels etc., Eligibility for Campus Placements, are students become eligible for campus placements starting from sixth semester. Our College has a dedicated placement Cell that Co-ordinates with companies, organizes interviews , and provides career counseling. They also conduct orientation program for attending interviews traings and other personality enrichment activities for our benefits like conducting pre - placement training, including resume building workshops, mock interviews, and skill development programs for preparing as precautionary to avoid rejections in interviews. Average Students participate in the placement process by securing offers, depending on the batch. Over the past few years, our college has an increasing number of offers made, I thank our college for growing reputation and industry ties. The Average salary package ranges from rupees 3-5 lac per annum with most students being placed in roles such as Travel Consultants, Tourism Managers and Event Planners. My Future Plans: If I don't secure a placement through campus recruitment, I Plan to focus on building my career through internships and freelancing. I am particularly interested in sustainable tourism and may look for opportunities in eco-tourism companies and tourism boards. Additionally, I'm considering pursuing further studies, such as a Master's in Tourism Management or certifications in Digital Marketing for the Travel industry, to enhance my skill set and broaden my career prospects. The strong foundation from my Sindhi College will provide me with the flexibility to pursue various career paths, whether in corporate roles or starting my own venture in Tourism sector. Otherwise will choose and excel in my Law Career which will support to develop

Madras School of Economics - [MSE], Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Economics)
Reviewed on Sep 17, 2024(Enrolled 2024)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well the course provides almost everything which is needed and available. This is not a normal economics course as it involves statistics, python, core math and also dives into data science. This allows the students to explore various subjects and can choose which is their best fileld. The curriculum overall is very rigorous and intense but you can crack it if you study regularly. About the frequencies of the examinations, we have 2 internal examinations and 1 end semester examination. I can guarantee that this course is super rigorous but im not sure if i would necessarily say that the course is "practical" and it helps us in the real word. I cannot comment on the practicality of the courses. The exams are not super difficult and its moderate. Getting more than 90% can be challenging although clearing the paper won't be an impossible task.
