Remarks
The college was good in almost all the aspects but there is also some loopholes in the college i. e they need to upgrade the laboratories and proper maintenance and updation is required for the laboratories.
Course Curriculum Overview
As this college comes under the Biju Patnaik University of Technology i. e BPUT, so is following the syllabus of that university. The syllabus is designed very nicely with complete package of 8 semesters. The initial two semesters were all about the basics of the engineering. The engineering branch courses starts from 3rd semester and after that we got our branch knowledge. Talking about industrial visit we've arranged this by ourselves.
Placement Experience
College have arranged for some campus drive and some off campus drive placements which includes Uncease automation, Madhus Garage Equipments, Sepco-3, Wonjan Pvt Ltd etc for the mechanical branch. The placements for our batch i. e 2020 batch was effected because of the COVID-19 pandemic because of which the college was unable to call for many companies.
College Events
Utopia, DJ Night, Star night, Konark Premium League, Hostel Premium League, Cultural Fests, Teacher's day celebration, annual sports and many more. Different events are organised during the fest which were hosted by the 4th year students. The Konark Premium League also known as KPL basically includes cricket tournament and volleyball tournament.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The total fee for the B. Tech students of mechanical engineering branch is 4, 20000. The college is accepted all the modes of payment including cash payment, card payment, NEFT fund transfer, UPI transactions. There is no any additional charges that had to be paid in order to secure an admission to the course.
Fees and Financial Aid
No I haven't opted for any loans, but some of my friends did opted. This is quite simple as for this you just need to get a Bonafide letter from the college and submit it to the branch, then you need to go through some formalities of the bank.
Campus Life
As we're belonging to the mechanical branch and in mechanical branch there is no any girl. But we've alot in our sports, other events of the fest and was very much enjoyable. We were belonging to different parts of the country some are from Odisha only, some are from Jharkhand, some from Bihar, some from West Bengal, some from Andaman and Nicobar Islands and many more parts of the country but still we were able to maintain the brotherhood within ourselves.
Hostel Facilities
Yes I've opted for the hostel for 3 years. Tge hostel was pretty good in which 2 students were accommodated in a room we've been provided with our seperate bathrooms attached to our room. There is also the canteen facility provided by the hostel with serves not very good quality of food. But the hostel life was very fun for us as there we've made alot of friends.
Alumni/Alumna
Our seniors were very helpfull, they always helped us in showing the path that how we should do the things and how should we go ahead. While I was in 3rd year I was very confused that how I'll get the internship, so I went to my senior and he guided me very well and then I was able to get the internship.
Admission
I've got admission in my college through the counselling of JEE mains in the year of 2016. During the counselling round we all were thinking very deep that which college were gonna get, whether I can get my desired branch or not but at last I've got it. I've found a very good environment of this college so I chooses for this college.
Faculty
The faculty of my college is pretty good, the professors have good qualifications, some have doctorate degree while some have masters degree. Talking about lectures we've got 6 lectures per day. The lectures was much more relevant to the syllabus. These lectures were sufficient to get the absolute knowledge about the subjects.
