Remarks

Overall, it's good to have a degree at less cost. I am not looking forward to campus placement. We are in our own. We can get graduate from here and still have problems in finding a job of 15000INR MONTHLY.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I won't say that it is fair. Since my course work is concerned, we got admission because they needed more students to fill up the seats available. There have been instances where they have been biased towards admission procedure especially in PhD course.

Placement Experience

0.5

University of Mumbai itself has been worst in terms of placement of students for better jobs. Though there have been few instances when few local companies visited our college and gave job placements to students. Around 5% of students get jobs through campus placement. Institutions don't bother much About their students. All they are concerned is about getting more students everywhere so they can more money.

College Events

1

Well, they do it for namesake and yes there are few faculties who put their heart into it. Gamefest. Coding. Entrepreneurship. These above are the few name, they go with. Number of participants are big in number given the country we are in. As most of the participants do take part in activities for the sake of prize money and pride they get on winning or even in participation.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My program fees is 35000 INR for the whole course. And I find it feasible. Yes, colleges are transparent in terms of fee breakdown. Additional fees are charged on the name of exam fees, research proposal fees and even to consult the research guide on given time.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college doesn't provide any scholarships opportunity to anyone. If one needs to avail the scholarship facilities then, he/she needs to contact the University our college is affiliated with.

Campus Life

3

Gender ratio has increased in recent times. I can see that people have started to give priority to girls education. But comparatively, Number of girls joining the college at graduate levels still lesser then boys. There are minorities college who give preference to the cause which they have been created for. Religion, Sexual orientation and economic status are not a matter of concern. All are tested equally based on their own performance or behaviour during the academic year.

Hostel Facilities

1

No. Our college doesn't have hostel facilities. But, the university, our college is affiliated with have hostel. It's difficult to get a place in hostel. Preference is given to those who have come from other states of cities.

Alumni/Alumna

There are few groups active in social media and Campus which have connections with alumni. But. They have not been very helpful. College doesn't contact them untill it is extremely important to be connected as per University guidelines.

Admission

I needed it for my career advancement and be qualified for my current profession. My college has good reputation in Mumbai in terms of research work facilities. Good research guides are available with good link with University of Mumbai. My head of department suggest me to join this college as he has beena student himself.

Faculty

4

Faculties are well qualified but when it comes to deliverance of lectures to students, I find them lagging behind in many ways. They teach commerce and we expect them to be well updated about the current scenarios around. They generally depend upon their students to come up with the example.

The entrance examination for postgraduate studies in IIT is GATE. But getting admission in IIT even after qualifying GATE is not easy. Your ranks in GATE must be less than 1000 to get admission in IIT. Those who score very (Gate score > 800) high can get admission directly in some IIT. For others, some departments take their own written exam followed by an interview.
