Remarks

The canteen needs to be improved, i must say. Canteen provides limited no. Of food items and beverages. I do understand that the college is not too high class, but still atleast it should improve the Canteen and menu.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course is very good. My personal goal was to understand the basics of commerce and then undertand the accounting in detail. Understanding Taxation was also one of the major goal. The exam structure was that there will be a unit exam and a semester exam for each semester. There are 2 semesters in each year, and the whole course is of 3 years.

Placement Experience

2

Unfortunately, the only thing which is still missing from my college is that it doesn't provides much placement opportunities to students. But the faculty always tries to provide us with small placement opportunities.

College Events

4

When i was in graduation, our college has arranged a state level competition for almost everything, debate, drawing, ppt presentation, singing as well as dancing. And usually different departments of our college regulary organize internal competitions such as ppt presentations, nail arts, saree day, twin day etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's actually feasible. Our college usually has fee structure which is provided by the university itself. And even our college allows to pay students the fees in installments. It also provides financial support to needy students.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are a few scholarship facilities provided by our library department. As well as the library alao provides book bank scheme for needy students. The loan facility, we have never heard of it in our college.

Campus Life

3

Sports are taken into consideration very actively by our college. Labs are available for physics, chemistry and Information Technology. Our college takes part into many intercollegiate competitions. The I.T. lab is really good in terms of technology.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, they got experience and whenever possible, the share it with us through seminars or presentations. Our college arranges seminars which are hosted by alumnis. And they provide us with the knowledge which they have gained by working in the industry.

Admission

Fill in the enrollment forms, once the results of the qualifying exams are out. Then merit list will be displayed, and if you are in the merit list, you can fill the Admission form, pay the fee and then get the admission.

Faculty

4

Very supportive faculty. Teaching as well as non teaching staff is very supportive and they are equipped with all the required experience. Teachers and professors are very punctual and very professional, as well as very strict when it comes to the marks and performance. They always encourage discussions for the academic topics to increase the understanding.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The B.com is not a very comprehensive and complex degree to complete for someone who wants to pursue his/her career in finance. It can be referred as an initial start or push start for one's finance journey over the years. Also the relevance of B.com in real world is gradually decreasing day by day.

From semester 5, you become eligible for final placement and semester 3 for internship placement. many companies like Nykaa, Myntra, Duetsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, Zomato, Beerbiceps and more have visited. the highest package in history is 38 lakh per annum. The average is 8-9 lakh per annum. Around 70% of students get the college placement. My plan is to start my own business after college. I am although doing internships through college. Already done one in Beerbiceps and one in chorus call.

Due to NEP the course has been more developed to the students and teachers also explain the topocs to us very clearly and the thing should be change that the timing of the paper are at morning time which is at 7:30am it should be 10 or 10:30 because this time the students get late to the paper and didnt get time to prep.

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of the key aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the B.Com course at Sydenham College was its strong foundation in core commerce subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Business Law, and Finance. The structured progression from basic to advanced concepts, along with exposure to subjects like taxation and auditing, made the program particularly appealing for students aiming for careers in finance, CA, CS, or management.
