Entrance Preview

I took MP PET and scored 60, I found the faculties, infrastructure and reputation of the college suitable as per me. It is one of the good colleges in Jabalpur. Finding out from my seniors and friends, i came to know that the college is good in terms of campus placements and it teaches you the descipline, but that doesn't mean we didn't got chance to enjoy the college life. Of course there were time when we had fun activities. T

Internships Opportunities

I got placed to an MNC in Pune for the internship of 6 months in last semester. We worked on some project during that period and same we provided as our major project.

Placement Experience

1.5

The placement and job opportunities are not so good. i got placed in open campus in Shriram college. Also i want to point out that the college pays small companies to come and organize fake campus (seriously). This happened once in our time, there was some company from Calcutta which came and hired like big companies, taking lots of candidates (around 42 i guess).

College Events

2

The college was good except few important things like mentioned before. Events are organized occasionally and we all used to take part in them.Though there are events which are organized and only some specific steam students are allowed to take part in it. So in that manner sometimes you may feel the behavior biased.

Fees and Financial Aid

No good facility, no scolarship. Those elligible for scolarship are also needed to pray arround faculties.

Campus Life

2.5

Campus life is good, i would say it is much better for BE students but for MCA you will definately get a biased feeling from the college management. You will find yourself least involved in the extracurricular activities. The labs were good though, you will get 4 hours lab every week to do the practical implementation.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network was good, it actually depends how you try to manage that. The seniors were always helpful and like most of us think they don't create any annoyance. Even when you join the college the faculties organize an intro class in which freshers need to introduce themselves and they used to create some funny environment, but no ragging happens.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is good, all i want to say is you really need to work hard on your own for most of the subjects. Its not necessary to attend every class, but if you are attending every class that will help you to obtain good internal marks.

Faculty

2.5

The facuty was good but there are few faculties who don't know much and just somehow managing to teach. Some are there who know the subjects very well but lacking in verbal communication. Some are those who don't know the subject well and talk like silly peoples in the regional language.Very few faculties i found here who possess good knowledge and fits in "Teacher" criteria.

MCA placements start from 3rd semester. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra visit. Highest package around 7lpa, average is 3-3.5lpa. About 60-70% students get placed. Jobs are mostly in IT, Testing and Support. I plan to work in software and appear in tech exam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am a tech geek I like to work on computer or designing programs . The course was a ladder for my dreams but I come from a middle family and after searching a while I found that it's more suitable for me to study in a government college due to financial condition. They taught us well what was in our syllabus, I think if there were smart classes that should add a plus point in the college after all a course about computer applications and while teaching computers are not included sounds bad . Exams and tests were conducted time to time and as the course ascends exams get quite difficult.
