The course curriculum includes Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Microbiology, Genetics, Bio - instrumentation, Genetic Engineering, Recombinant DNA technology, Immunology, Microbial Biotechnology, Environmental Biotechnology, Biology of cloning vectors & Medical Biotechnology.

Placement Experience

The placement cell provides career oriented training, job opportunities and guidance to students by organizing various training programmes and recruitment drives. The Training & Placement Cell also interacts with the industries for real-time projects and Industrial Visit for students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is structured in such a manner that it is quite feasible for every student to pay. There are other charges also which I have paid except the college tuition fee which includes Bus fees, Hostel room rent and mess fees.

The Department has independent laboratory fully equipped with required instruments which caters the student's need to make them familiar with basic techniques. The laboratory aims to offer necessary technical inputs and to provide us with basic knowledge and skills in application-oriented experiments in bio-sciences.

Admission

This course required an eligibility of a pass in +2 with subjects having Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Biochemistry & Environmental science. I scored 94% in my 12th class and thus got admission in this college.

The teachers provide excellence and support services and enable students to have the opportunity to succeed. The faculty members ensure academic freedom and freedom of speech for students during activities.

The pros and cons of avinuty

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is relavant to the coarse,iam a nutrition student and I came to study abot nutrition,but I have also learnt about microbiology, food evaluation,food making,food safety rules,food entrepreneurship etcc which increases the variety of opportunities based to the course. Iam happy that iam learning about diet planning which is why I chooses this course. It really helps in real world opportunities as they allow intership s,practicals,practices, competition etc.. The area it needs improvement is the language skills of the professors as there are other states students there some people cannot understand tamil so they have to teach intwo languages. The timings of exams is not that bad there is one and half month gap between exams.

Best college in south india, any course in this college means assured placements and college atmosphere is so pleasant in midst of centre of city with ease of commutation. Hostel facility is best with good atmosphere and good food

Top colleges in Chennai best for degree course and one of the famous and reputed college in Chennai. Feedback for the alumni were very welcome and The placement needs to be improved. As very few students got placed and not many companies show on. They do not provide very high packages and only few students got placed. The percentage is 60. There should be more companies for recruiting students
