Course Curriculum Overview
This college maintains a structured course curriculum. This helps the students gain more knowledge in depth. The course which the college develops is Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Studies. It is a three year program provided by the Savitribai Phule Pune University in Hotel Management, Tour & Travel. The basic idea of the Institute in this course is to keep abreast with the current changing trends in the hospitality industry.
Placement Experience
In this Institute of Hotel management placement is 100% but the actual difference goes in the salary packages. There a very few but best placement offerings done every year based on theskills of the students. Best renowned Hotels from all over the country have been visiting the campus for recruitment every year.
College Events
There are technical feats and cultural fests celebrated every year and annual day celebration too. A very good number of students also participate in them. It will be very joyous occasion for all of the students just like a refreshment zone. Other events like International Bread Day, World Tourism Day, Alumni meet and Graduation day are also being celebrated in the Institute every year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure in the Institute of Hotel Management is very feasible. The fee structure is split into two main categories as Tuition fee and Laboratory fee. The tuition fee is for the subjects taken in the classroom, which is about 32,500. Since it is a hotel management study, laboratories are available for the students to gain more practical knowledge. The fee for the laboratory is about 18,000 bringing the total fee of the course to be around 50,500.
Campus Life
The college maintains the facility of library. Books based on hotel management from other institutes all over the country are available in the library. There are about 1909 volumes of books available. There are also about 10 magazines on hotel management and 09 common newspapers of the country present in the library to gain more general knowledge. The library is open from morning 9 am to 5.30 pm in the Institute.
Alumni/Alumna
I preferred this college due to a friend, who is the alumni of this college. He preferred me this college. I met with senior students of this Institute and they are very helpful. They share their experience of the interviews and the exams conducted. So I used to stay very close with them. Many of the alumni people are being currently working with International hotels like in Germany, Singapore and many more.
Admission
Savitribai Phule Pune University is the university which conducts entrance exam for Camp Education Society’s DR. Arvind B. Telang Institute of hotel management. This university conducts an entrance exam to get admission in the college. The candidate has to appear for the entrance exam conducted. On clearing the entrance exam and on reviewing of the higher secondary marks the candidate is given admission in the Institute.
Faculty
The faculty department in our Institute of hotel management is good. The active faculty members of the institute are highly dedicated in making their students as professionals. There are about 8 regular staffs with 4 visiting or ad-hoc faculty. DR. Ajaykumar M. Rai who is the head of the Institute is qualified with BHMCT, MTM, PH.D (ORG. MGT.). He organizes all the activities in the college in an extraordinary manner.
