Remarks

If your expectation is that this will be comparable to a normal full time course, please look elsewhere. This is a distance education programme and offer plenty of resources to clear the subjects on your own while still being able to do whatever it is that your are doing.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course is very well catered towards inculcating knowledge of various business practices and language basics. Since much of the study has to be done on own, the resources provided extremely helpful. There are a wide variety of elective subjects to choose from.

Placement Experience

0.5

There are no placements. Open universities are usually recommended to those who are already doing something substantial such as working or taking care of the household, etc. You have to look for employment on your own. The syllabus does a good job of making you independent enough to do so.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very inexpensive, even cheap when compared to the cost of most of the popular bachelor courses in the state. The fee for the entire bachelor course of three years came to be around rupees 13,345. If you will take up computer application as an elective the fee is Rupees 17,545 for the entire programme.

Campus Life

3.5

The scope for extra curriculars is very immense as there are no regular classes held. The university itself does not hold any activity or extra curricular but you are free to do so of your own accord.

Admission

The admission was very simple. I had to submit the necessary documentation along with the very nominal fees and my admission was confirmed. Since I am a working professional with my own business, this was a great option for me as I could focus on my business while still getting a college degree and not breaking my wallet.

Faculty

3.5

Since it is a distance education program, the onus of studying for bulk of the courses is in your own hands. There are some faculty members but It is recommended that you go through the course material on your own as it is not very difficult.
