First one ever and best Fisheries college in Gujarat.

Negative: When I was the student, it has very small building and limited resources, no college bus for students to get proper transportation and no proper play ground. Positive: New campus with huge building and play ground in the campus. Fully functional laboratories with adequate and professionally qualified staff.

In graduation program it has varieties of educational course includes Aquaculture, Fish processing, Fisheries Resources And it's Management, Environmental Science, Aquaculture Engineering, Disease and health management, Fish genetics and Fish nutrition, Ornamental fish, Breeding and culture, Disaster Management, Economics, Extension Education etc. While in Post graduation it has different special departments for the courses like, Aquaculture, FRM - Fisheries Resources Management, FPT - Fish processing Technology, Environmental Science etc.

In the last year of Graduation program, college provides one month internship program for Aquaculture and Fish processing plant each. It helps to provide good exposure to the students and it'll help them learn practically. Every year they arrange campus interviews for the Fish processing industry and for Aquaculture industry.

Technical Seminars, Cultural events, Annual Functions, Sports meet, Festival celebrations, Different teams from the different colleges of Junagadh Agricultural University do participate in it and compete with each other. It serves as a platform for students to showcase their talents, knowledge, strength.

It's a Government college so fees depends on Governmental fees structure. Junagadh Agricultural University has different colleges under its umbrella and college of fisheries science - Veraval, is among them. Every college have their different fee structure, created by Government of Gujarat and ICAR - Indian Council Of Agricultural Research

State governmental scholarships are awarded to the students depending on their caste criteria, University Scholarship provided to the topper of the class. ICAR scholarships or fellowships provided to the PG and PhD students on the basis of JRF/SRF exam ranks they achieved.

College have different departments they facilitates different activities including sports meets, play area, annual events for the fun and enjoyment of students, their parents and teachers. Festival celebration in college campus, Knowledge Sharing and Self development programme/seminars on regular basis.

One time fees for the hostel every six months or for a period of semester. Not more than 1000 Rs. Hostel facilitates with Wi-fi connection, Library, TV room, Gym, Mess. Overall very goos. Rooms are on sharing basis 3 students per room.

Officially Registered Alumni Association, Strong interactive and engaging group of Alumnis, that helps to new graduates to get entry in industry and to grow up by helping them by whatever possible ways.

In graduation i got admission on the basis of 12th Science B group Merit list, while for post graduation i cleared Entrance exam. It requires at least 50% marks in entrance exam to get eligible for Post graduation.

College having well educated and fully professionally qualified staff. Most of the professors are the alumni of college. So they are well aware about need of each students. Every department have adequate skilled and field staff.
