Shobhit University Meerut, B.Tech, Biomedical Engineering

Reviewed on Jun 9, 2020(Enrolled 2020)

Remarks

Shobhit University one of the leading organisation in the domain of Biomedical Engineering with high-quality lab facility. It has a vibrant and beautiful campus. I have visited the campus and the laboratories, labs are well equipped. In this region, only Shobhit University has Biomedical Engineering course. It's NAAC accredited, ISO certified and has Its own IQAC Department for continuous monitoring and the improvement of quality that I have not found anywhere else. For more details, the department asked me to visit Shobhit Biomedical Society that shows continuous dynamic and social activities of the Department as well as a strong alumni network too.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is designed to cater to the need of Biomedical Engineering and to provide them high-quality education so the student can serve the society with their skills and can work for the betterment of the healthcare sector. Department has mentored over 10 Students to whom students can share their problems. It's like a local guardian, extremely careful and flexible environment. Highly qualified faculty members from national and international repute organisation. These facilities have excelled in their specialised field.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 1 per year

Placement Experience

Alumni of Biomedical Engineering are working in renowned originations in a different position. The key organizations are Philips, Mindray, Stryker, Johnsons and Johnsons, BPL, BOSTON, Nipro, Etc. They are also recruited in super speciality hospitals such as Max, fortis, metro hospital etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

As for me being a female candidate University offers me the scholarship. Over that, there are certain scholarships based on your merit. My merit was not high still I got scholarship specifically for female candidates. UTDC department shows the past training and placement record of the University it was excellent. In Biomedical because of high demand 100% placement after the internship.

Campus Life

Sangeetam is the annual fest organised by the University in November, as well as sports, meet in February. There are different clubs, music room and indoor/outdoor playing activities available in the campus. Moreover, the department organises Free health check-up camp every year. It's like a second home, students will never feel they are outside the campus.

Interview Experience

University has its own entrance test SUNET, this time because of lockdown no entrance was conducted it's direct admission process. However, there would be a telephonic conversation with the department heads with simple and basic queries. This was a very interactive and confidence-building session.

If you're in lucknow, Look no further.

Likes

The looks of the campus are stunning. Open fields and everything
Events are hosted weekly, allowing everyone to participate and host
Extracurricular activities are well respected

Dislikes

In a secluded area of Lucknow. Hostel recommended

Placement Experience:

Our Placement packages are pretty low online. It's primarily because every course, High tier, Low tier gets an on campus placement. Computer science has a very good placement ratio. People who don't get placements ussually are the ones who didn't even apply. Around id say 80 percent people get placements and my plans are to look off campus.

My Experience at Sanskriti University: Campus Life, Academics and Opportunities

Likes

The course offers a good foundation in computer science and AI, with opportunities to improve technical skills.
Campus life provides opportunities to make friends, interact with classmates, and develop communication skills.

Dislikes

More practical sessions, live projects, and industry-oriented training are needed to improve student skills.
Placement preparation, internship opportunities, and career guidance could be improved for better job prospects.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose CSE (AI & ML) because of my interest in artificial intelligence and computer science. The curriculum provides basic technical knowledge for higher studies and career opportunities. More practical sessions, real-world projects, internships, and interactive teaching would improve learning. Internal assessments and semester exams require regular preparation, and difficulty varies by subject.

“A Good College for Learning and Growth”

Likes

Being a CSE student I get the opportunity to learn about computer science and improve my skills The college experience also helps me understand the importance of practical knowledge

Dislikes

The placement support could be improved especially by providing more opportunities for students to get internships and jobs in reputed companies

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course covers important subjects related to computer science and programming. It gives basic technical knowledge, but more practical learning is needed. Exams are held every semester, along with internal tests and practicals. Some subjects are easy, while others need more preparation. Overall, the course is good, but adding more real-world projects would help students learn better.

Slow administration and limited student support

What I heard before about the placement is totally different from what it is. I mean after spending more than 6lakh the average package of btech is around 4-5 LPA and the ratio is like 15-20% only. No big MNCs like Amazon Flipkart Deloitte or any other comes here.

I found this college comparitevely less expensive in ncr region. I searched for colleges in ncr region and i found the colleges to be very expensive and not worth it, then i decided to get admission in the "ROORKE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY" college but couldn't make it as on the day of seat booking the seats got full. That college was also good. So, at last i decided to get admission in this college on one of my friends recommendation. In my college you can apply for direct admission. You can visit to college or can call in the number provided in the official website of the university. Shobhit Uni: Hit or Miss!!

There are two more colleges in my city that i applied for that are IIMT and MIET but in IIMT i needed a bus service but they are giving me bus survise almost 7 km far from my house and we tried to ask them fo the bus service near my house but still they denied and hence i have to refuse to get into IIMT then i also applied for MIET as i was late for the admission as i have also applied for NEET because i was a student of PCMB in 12th so when i went to MIET the one at the admission cell was very rude due to which my father had an argument with my father so we ended up by ending the though of to admit in MIET. last we applied for shobhit and they were praised to have me as their student also they gave me scholorship and hence i took admission in shobhit university. I did not get the reject from those colleges but the things about bus service and attitue in the other did not went well hence i dropped my idea to get into those colleges. The admission process is quite simple: eligibility - passed in 12th with above 60 % marks a good caracter certificate. if a JEE aspirant then it is also give a good expression. admission experience is easy ....Read More
