Diploma in tool and die course duration is 3 year's + one year implant training in any company.there are 6 semesters in 3 years(2 each). The curriculum is deeply drilled to the industrial knowledge and other specific study on tools and workshops.we study the sketches, designs, blue prints for making tools. Tool and die makers grind, fit, file and adjust parts for fitting things properly. They polish the surfaces of tools and dies to smooth-en them.Making tools are those used for metal forming rolls in tool making. Cutting tools, fixtures, machine tools are common tools. Die making concentrates on making dyes, steel rule dies and die sets. A person can perform all the above tasks and the skills are interrelated hence the term tool and die making.

Every department in the college provides placement for all eligible students in some of the best industries in all over India. If the courses we selected may have one year internship. If we needed the faculty will arrange meeting(interview) with the hr dept. of the company and we can get appointed in position. Some of the best companies having eyes on KMCT students are -L&T -CRI PUMPS -SUNIK -UNITED ENTERPRISES etc.

KMCT STUDENTS UNION contacts a festival every year under cintrol of selected students and staffs in college. TARANG 2k14 conducted by kmct ptc is one of the best events in history of colleges in Kerala. Other events will takes part of college are:- Annual sports meet Arts day NSS/NCC parades and programmes Curricular activities and competitions, etc.

KMCT Polytechnic is a running under the management of KMCT INSTITUTIONS. college placement includes both govt. seats and management seats. In govt. admission the fees in only 13000/year Management seat coasts 1.5lakhs for 3 years. Other fees are include for hostel, food, activity trainings, coaching classes, etc.

The college is not providing any kind of scholarships for students. But they will assist and help us to get scholarship from authorized departments and government.

Campus life in this institut is on of the best years in my life. I have spent almost 3nd half years with good friends and friendly faculty. Campus will provide us hangout places, garden, sports ground (football, basketball, cricket nets, etc.). Also provides good food service in low coast in the campus. Almost all knd of people studing in this college without any diversity.

No. I haven't opted hostel for accommodation. Iam a day scholer. I don't have to stay at hostel. Anyway in my views the college provides hostel accommodation for all students in need. In this college many outer state students are studing in different courses. So hostel accommodation is available. The facilities and services are provided to the hostel students are best in general.

An active alumni is running under dept. HOD at college for every department. Senior's provides good opportunity for youngsters.

Becoming an tool designer is my dream from my 16. So i searched for institutions providing good course package and good faculty in internet. And from all my research i got the answer KMCT PTC. I applied for the direct interview throug phone call and face to face interview. Attended the interview at may 10th 2014. Got passed it and get admitted.

Faculty provided by the college is really productive and best in compared to the other institutions. All the teachers(lectures) are well qualified and wedd organized. Every department have specific hod's and separate lectures for all core subjects. Lab assistant's and sub category staffs are seems to be very friendly and helpful.
