Since it is a huge University, the decision process gets delayed sometimes.

Since it is a one of the best central University in our country, we will get to see a diverse batch of students in all the Departments. The campus is vibrant as lot of extra curricular activities keeps on taking place the whole year. Many intellectuals come and give a talk to the students. The course structure is mainly research driven and encourages students to carry quality research in the future.

Since School of Economics is research driven, the placement is below average here. The internships are also mainly research oriented and government body internships. I got a chance to do a intership in IIT Madras as a research intern.

There is a lot of activities going on throughout the year. The major ones are Sukoon which a University fest held in the month of March-April. Also each school and departments have their own fest and events. School of Economics conducts Conclave every year where in lots of activities related to Economics takes place.

Since it is a central university, the fee is very less. The fees per semester is 4000-5000 maximum. Apart from fees you have to pay mess bill monthly which comes up to 2000 rupees maximum. The room rent is just 500 rupees per semester. 4000-5000 includes all the charges. Every rooms in the hostel are provided with free wifi facilities. There is also a free multi-gym facilities for the students.

The University doesn't offer any kind of scholarship as the fees are already very less. However students are allowed to avail their respective scholarship from different states and national level.

The gender ratio is equally distributed. The environment is suitable for both men and women. There are different cultural programs throughout the year. Since, there is a lot of diversity among students. Students belonging to different states also organize cultural program and showcase their traditions. Also the sports events are equally give importance and organized every semester for both men and women.

Yes I stay in hostel. The hostel facility is quite good and most of the students stay in hostels. The rooms are provided for two people. The rooms are enough to accommodate all the University students. In each room there is a cupboard, a bed and a table given. Also free wifi facilities is provided. The accomodation is quite good except the mess food. The mess food is below average. But the students have the choice not to eat in the mess. All the online food is delivered extensively into the campus.

As for the School of Economics, the alumni network is not very strong. There is no proper record of alumni by the School. However other departments like MCA have a very strong alumni network. As a result many students gets placed every year.

Since I want to do a PhD so I pursued MA Economics in University of Hyderabad. It is known for quality research and has recently given the University of Eminence Tag. For the Masters program the admission notification is released in the month of Apri. The selection is entirely on the score of entrance exams.The session starts from Mid July.

In School of Economics, there are more than 20 professors.All the professors have an expertise in their own respective fields.However the faculty lacks profeesor from mathematical background. Most of the them have specialisation in theory than quantitative analysis.
