The college celebrate a centenary years. College has NAAC A grade. The infrastructure of college is very good. The faculty and teaching quality is excellent. The placement cell and canteen in college can be improved. The extracurricular activities of college helped in being human. Overall it is best college in sangli district and in shivaji university kolhapur.

I've chosen microbiology as my graduation subject. This college is under Shivaji University Kolhapur so the syllabus and papers are per university criteria. In final year of graduation there are two semesters and in last semester there is final practical exam.

For the microbiology subject there are less companies as compared to Computer Science, Chemistry etc. But for microbiology companies like fertilizer, dairy, pathological laboratory from nearby area are present. As postgraduation course in microbiology not present in this college there are limited companies for placement.

There are lot of festivals held in university and each and every department held their own respective programs like Holi celebrations, lohri celebrations, DJ parties and sports events like Sports day. and for performances like speeches, debates bhagra gidha, their is an event called Jashan.

My B. Sc. microbiology course is grantable course so the fees are very low compared to same course in other college. The first year fees are 2000rs, Second year fees are 2000rs, Third year fee is 3000rs so the total admission fee for graduation is 7000rs excluding exam fee.

There are many scholarships are present. The information about all the scholarships is present in the college magazine. I applied for Rajarshi Chatrapati Shaju Maharaj scholarship by this scholarship I've got 50% consation in the college fees.

Our college famous for extracurricular activities among the University. There is sports events containing individual and group sports present. It contains cricket, football, kho-kho etc. and individual event like chess, carrom, Marathon. Other than sports ther are many cultural events also there. Blood donation camps also arrenged, Many motivational lectures also arrenged by the college.

There is a department in college named Willingdonions This is for alumni of the college. This department carried out successful alumni lectures and other programs. My department also arrenge program where all alumni come and guide to all the students.

For taking admission in this college for B. Sc. degree, based on 12th percentage merit list (CutOff) will be prepared. Then seats filled as per government criteria, seats reservation also there. I've got admission in B. Sc. and my group was chemistry, botany, zoology, microbiology (CBZM). I've chosen this group because microbiology is emerging field.

All the senior profeesor qualified master's degree and P. hd. degree in microbiology course. For Junior profeesor minimum qualifications are master's degree so the junior profeesor qualified master's degree in microbiology subject.
